It’s all about survival in Mushroom Mix-Up. All players start the minigame on top of seven mushroom platforms, each with a different color. When Toad raises his flag, the color of his flag determines the mushroom platform that’ll keep everyone safe. All the other platforms will sink into the water. If you don’t make it to the correct platform and you touch the water below, you’re out.
Sounds simple, but Toad raising his flag and the platforms dropping increases in speed over time. Not only that, but your opponents can be evil. They jump on you, stun you with a ground pound, or even use their body to block you as you try to jump to safety.
This minigame was remade in Mario Party Superstars.

- Block the mushroom you’re standing on with your character. If opponents try to jump on you, try to bounce them out! Although the game goes quickly, you can survive with well-timed ground pounds even if you didn’t pick the right mushroom.
