Bowl Over is a 1-vs-3 minigame from the original Mario Party on the Nintendo 64.
Overview
Control Stick: Spin shell
A: Throw shell
A: Jump
Are you part of the team of three? Well, you’re now one of six bowling pins. The solo player? Yeah, they’re the bowler. They’re going to throw their Koopa Shell and aim for the pins. Any normal pins that are knocked over will net the solo player a single coin each. Any human pins that are knocked over will have to fork over five of their own coins to the solo player.
As the solo player, you can adjust your positioning before you throw the shell. You can also push the control stick to help move the shell in the direction you want to go. The team of three can make small jumps to help spread themselves out from their teammates. If the Koopa Shell hits the electric railing before getting to the pins, the game immediately ends in a draw.
A version of this minigame returns in Mario Party 2.
