Grab Bag

Grab Bag is a 4-Player minigame from the original Mario Party on the Nintendo 64.

Overview

Grab Bag
Type: 4-Player
Time Limit: 60
Draw: Not Documented
Coin Minigame
Game: Mario Party
Console: Nintendo 64
Controls: Standard Controls
Music: Ducking and Dodging
Controls (All):
Control Stick: Move
A: Jump
B: Grab bag
B (repeatedly, when grabbing): Steal
B (repeatedly, when grabbed): Shake free

Four players have a minute to collect as many coins as they can, and they each carry their own coin bag. Run around the arena and grab an opponent’s bag to steal either a coin or a money bag that’s worth five coins. Opponents can mash the B button to try and resist your grip!

Here’s the catch: you’re bringing your coins from your current board match to this minigame. So if you’re absolutely loaded with over 100 coins, that’s how much you’ll start with in this minigame. Same if you don’t have any coins! Whatever coin amount you end the minigame with is what you’ll bring back to the board too.
