21. City Gardening: Building Planter

There are three seeds in the plaza area near Talkatoo and the Main Street Entrance Checkpoint. Take one of the seeds over to the building to the left of the Checkpoint. Hop on the taxi for a big jump, then walk up the fire escape. Jump and throw the seed onto the top of the building and plant it in the nearby pot. Come back after some time has passed to get the Power Moon!

22. City Gardening: Plaza Planter

This one is an easy one! Grab one of the seeds in the Main Street Entrance plaza and plant it in the pot hidden in the corner of the shrubs. Come back after some time has passed to get the Power Moon!

23. City Gardening: Rooftop Planter

This one is the furthest away. Grab one of the seeds in the Main Street Entrance plaza and run towards the northern end of the Construction Site Checkpoint. Once there, walk around the building and into a back alley that you can use to easily wall jump up to the roof. Throw the seed in the pot once there. Come back after some time has passed to get the Power Moon!

24. How You Doin’, Captain Toad?

Walk around City Hall to find a girder path extruding away from the city. Walk along the top to find Captain Toad at the end!

25. Free Parking: Rooftop Hop

Available after completing all the main missions in the Metro Kingdom. Warp to the top of City Hall where you’ll find a motor scooter. Hop on and drive off the building to your right towards the Helipad. Land there, then go over to the roof of the next building where you’ll find a New Donker and parking spot. Drive up and park to get your Power Moon!

26. Bench Friends

There’s a bench on the east side of New Donk City where a New Donker is sitting on a bench. Jump on the bench and wait a moment to have Mario sit firmly on the bench. After a nice chat, the man will give you a Power Moon!

27. Shopping in New Donk City

Go to the Crazy Cap shop and purchase this easy Power Moon for 100 coins.

28. Metro Kingdom Slots

Near the northern end of the Construction Site Checkpoint is a building with Sand Kingdom designs on its walls. Head through the open door to find another slot minigame, similar to the one in the Sand Kingdom. Cough up 10 coins at the desk and walk over to the four slots. The goal is to match the four slots with the same item. Get it right and get the item. Instead of trying to get each one individually with Cappy, stand to the left of the slots and wait for three Power Moons to appear. Throw Cappy once all are out. With just one left, walk over and take care of that one individually. Once all four Power Moons are up, the real prize will appear!

29. Jump-Rope Hero

Go to the Main Street Entrance and look for the two ladies using a jump rope. Hop in and start jumping along! The game will count your jumps and if you get to 30 you’ll be rewarded with a Power Moon!

30. Jump-Rope Genius

30 jumps wasn’t enough? Play the jump rope minigame and get over 100 jumps to earn this Power Moon. The rope gets faster at every five jumps but the speed will cap at 50. At that point you’ll be pressing the jump command rapidly. If you’re having trouble try to jump in accordance to the beat and the rhythm.

31. Remotely Captured Car

Near the Main Street Entrance Checkpoint is a man playing with an RC car. Surprisingly this fellow isn’t wearing a hat. Capture him and take control of the car. The left control stick is used to go up and down while the right stick is for left and right. It’s tricky to get down, but get an understanding of the controls and you should be able to get it!

32. RC Car Pro!

Behind the RC Car area is a man and an open door. Head inside to find another RC Car area!

Capture the man on the left to start the race. Three laps need to be finished in under 35 seconds. A few tips. Remember that the left control stick is used to go up and down while the right stick is for left and right. That said, you should always be pushing up on the left stick and using left and right whenever there is a turn. Unless you really mess up, don’t bother going backwards.

33. Taking Notes: In the Private Room

As you walk down Main Street towards City Hall, keep an eye out for an open door on the left building. Head inside and collect the music note to have notes appear in both the 2D and 3D sections. Collect them all to have another set appear. Collect them all again to have the Power Moon appear in the 2D.

34. City Hall Lost & Found

Inside the interior section of City Hall, start moving up using the platforms and poles. At one point you’ll reach a striped pole on the left. Climb up to the top, then jump off and wall jump up to a secret pole above. Climb up and jump from pole to pole to eventually find a treasure chest with a Power Moon inside!

35. Sewer Treasure

As you’re getting Power Moon 6, get to the end of the platforming room in the Power Station and hit the vertical green platform to get it moving. Once on it, don’t jump to the pipe on the left but instead hop over to the platform on the right. The Power Moon is over here!

36. Celebrating in the Streets!

While you’re getting Power Moon 7 during the festival, get to the area where you’re upside down and there is a line of flaming oil barrels. Jump on top of the row of four blocks, then jump again to reveal two hidden blocks. Jump again and go into the newly discovered pipe. The next room has the Power Moon!

If you already completed the festival, go inside City Hall where the band is playing and speak to the man on the right to replay that mission.

37. Pushing Through the Crowd

Near the Outdoor Cafe is a door leading inside a building. Lots of people inside! Pull the lever on your left to have a Power Moon appear. It’s a timed challenge so you’re going to need a way to get past all these people. Bouncing on their heads as you go forward gives you plenty of room to make it through.

38. High Over the Crowd

In the same area where you got Power Moon 37, look for an awning you can use to jump high up in the air. Land on the metal grate and swing from pole to pole to get to the Power Moon.

39. Rewiring the Neighborhood

Go to the Crazy Cap shop and purchase the Construction Helmet for 5 Purple Coins and the Construction Outfit for 10. Head over to the Outdoor Cafe and look for a man wearing a construction helmet. Speak to him and he’ll let you into a door leading to a secret level.

Use the Spark Pylons to quickly move across the wires, going left and right to avoid hitting the Fuzzies. From there go left and use the next Spark Pylon to reach the area in the distance. Use the next pylon to get across the building, but this is also your chance to get Power Moon 40. Once across, go to the area with the moon shards and start collecting them as you move clockwise with the Fuzzies. Get them all to have the Power Moon appear!

40. Off the Beaten Wire

As you’re getting Power Moon 40, use the Spark Pylon that goes over a building. At the top of the building, jump off the wire and walk over to the wooden crates. Break the center box to reveal a Power Moon.
