Letter Locations – Paper Mario 64 Walkthrough

Use our Paper Mario letter locations guide to allow Parakarry to retrieve all the missing letters and return them to the correct recipients.

Although you normally receive letters by checking the post office, there is a second type of letter that can be found while exploring the Mushroom Kingdom. Find each letter and properly send the letter to the correct person to receive a Star Piece. There are 11 of these letters to find and return.

There is also a trading sequence quest featuring letters. There is a third letter towards the end of Mt. Rugged that needs to be delivered to Goompapa in Goomba Village. Instead of a Star Piece, you’ll receive another letter that needs to be delivered to another person. Each time you deliver a letter, you’ll be sent off with a new letter. This will continue for 14 letters until you finally receive a Lucky Day Badge. A very good badge!

Star Piece Letters

	Found in Mt. Rugged. In the third room, use Kooper to snag the letter. This is a required story letter! Give it to Merlon in Toad Town.
	Found in Mt. Rugged. Use the slides to reach the top of the western room. This is a required story letter! Give it to Kolorado in Dry Dry Desert.
	Found in Dry Dry Outpost. Get up on the rooftops and look behind the yellow vase. Give it to Nomadimouse, the mouse found along the path in Dry Dry Desert.
	Found in Dry Dry Desert. In the room just before reaching Dry Dry Outpost, whack the palm tree to the left of the sign to reveal a letter. Give it to Mort T. inside the inn at Koopa Village.
	Found in Dry Dry Desert. Once Kolorado takes his camp out of the desert, whack the tree he was stationed near. This would be the first room on the path from the west. Give it to Goompa in Goomba Village.
	Found in Gusty Gulch. Found in front of a fallen tree branch in the second to last area. Give it to Fice. T (blue guard) in Toad Town.
	Found in Lavalava Island. Look for the letter on top of a rock in the beach area. Give it to Igor (shopkeeper) at Boo’s Mansion.
	Found in Jade Jungle. In the room where you found Sushie, swim to the upper right island and whack the tree. Give it to Russ T. (scholar in library) in Toad Town.
	Found in Flower Fields. Take the northeast exit and cross the second log bridge. Look for the letter within the red patch of flowers. Give it to Minh T. (gardener) in Toad Toad.
	Found in Shiver Snowfield. Enter the room with the snowmen. Whack the second tree closest to the path multiple times to reveal a letter underneath the branches. Give it to Mayor Penguin in Shiver City.
	Found in Shiver Snowfield. Just before you enter Starborn Valley, look for a letter behind a chunk of ice. Give it to Merlow in Shooting Star Summit.

Trading Sequence Letters

	Found in Mt. Rugged. At the broken bridge near the vulture, drop down to the lower area. This is a required story letter! Give it to Goompapa in Goomba Village.
	Give it to Muss. T in Toad Town. Find them at the base of what used to be Peach’s Castle.
	Give it to Koover at the entrance to Koopa Village.
	Give it to Fishmael in Toad Town. Find him at the port fishing near the water.
	Give it to Koover in Koopa Village. Again.
	Give it to Mr. E at Dry Dry Outpost. Find him in front of the inn.
	Give it to Miss T. in Toad Town. Look for the orange Toad across from the dojo.
	Give it to Little Mouser at Dry Dry Outpost. Find him inside the shop.
	Give it to Franky at Boo’s Mansion. Find the ghost as soon as you enter the mansion.
	Give it to Dane T. in Toad Town. Look for the small red Toad to the right of the train station.
	Give it to the red Yoshi Kid in Yoshi Village. Find him hanging around the shop.
	Give it to Dane T. in Toad Town. Same little Toad!
	Give it to Frost T. in Starborn Valley. Find the green Toad nearby the entrance.
	Give it to Goompapa in Goomba Village. Return the letter back where it came from!
