Why do people prefer Microsoft and Sony over Nintendo?

MP2 remake counts since I counted the Mario spin-offs. And why are you ignoring the big picture? All I am saying is that the Wii did not service the other franchises well and you just listed Kirby and Zelda. My point has been proven since even you admitted that Nintendo services Mario way too much.
They should stop trying to service the old players by adding elements from old games into the new ones. It's nice and all, but they're starting to just seem like remakes of remakes, which they are.
for christ's sake, they used the same music from NSMBWii in NSMB2.
I'm waiting for the day they make a Mario game starring someone who isn't Mario, that's why I'm hyped for Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. Another Peach game would be nice, hell, even a new Yoshi's Island would be good, despite the fact I despise Yoshi.

My dream of a new game starring Toad will never come true. :( Guess I'll just stick to Wario's Woods.

Nintendo isn't catering to it's old audience at all. From Super Mario World to NSMBDS came a radical change in the Mario formula. SM64 Moves, new map elements, fortress layouts, less challenges, etc. It's making way for the new generation of Mario lovers.

Uh, in SMB3, you can basically fly over every level except for the fortresses and airship. Lost Levels was not easy at all.

He's probably referring to Other M. You know, the MOST POPULAR Metroid game on the Wii!! :D

You are so far from right. If anything, they're trying to appeal to a newer market. Closest thing we have to appeal to older gamers is Kirby: Return to Dreamland. That's the first game since NSMB came out.

because from the age like 11-17 all everyone cares about is being cool ,and cool to them is Xbox and play station not Wii and DS
LMAO no. You're so misinformed and wrong. But going from your username, you were born in 1999, so you're 12 (possibly 13).

Okay, we get it. Nintendo serviced it's few standing IPs with crappy games. Moving on...

Huh. And here I thought adding all these levels that look like older ones and making the bosses the same as the past was trying to bring back the older players.
Frankly I didn't pay much attention to NSMBWii's levels, because Toads. :p

As soon as nintendo started targeting family audiences and relying more on 3rd party games, is when they went downhill. The wii was a great idea but their lack of good internet play and the fact that most hardcore gamers hate motion controls screwed them over. I'm not saying that nintendo doesn't release great games but their days of being top dog are long over. Xbox and sony had them beat with better internet servers and better games.

NSMBDS didn't feature any boss that was akin to the original trilogy. The only thing you can argue is the Koopalings' return in NSMBWii.

They look far from the old ones. The only old bosses are the Koopalings in NSMBWii, and even then it's hardly catering to the old players.
