Rosalina could appear, but it's still doubtful.

Mario Kart 7 has two Super Mario Galaxy characters, and right now, Mario Party 9 has one character from Super Mario Galaxy 2, which was Whittle. I think they're trying to have a lot more Super Mario Galaxy references. It's possible that Mario Party 9 could have another character from Super Mario Galaxy games.

Well, it is entirely possible that there is some sort of Koopa Troopa character who's always playable in the spin-offs, rather than a different Koopa Troopa being in every game. I do agree, though, I don't think they should've removed Dry Bones.
 
Yes, but only in spinoffs which have large rosters, which have room for dozens of characters. I.e., Mario Kart Wii, Super Sluggers, etc (was Koopa even playable in Sluggers? I forget). And I'm totally fine with that considering those are fleshed out games that require them, and conversely, Mario Party's PLC's have more individuality, and don't really need them IMO - hopefully that made sense.

 
Something that confuses me is that Koopa Kid was probably removed due to him being a second hand constantly to Bowser, yet now they're throwing in Koopa who is practically just as much a bad guy. I guess it may be due to Mario Party's common making Shy Guy and Koopa good characters when associated with the boards.
 
This is really weird. Has anyone noticed there are no DK Spaces? A possibility that DK will be playable again.

Rosalina should be a playable character. She's appearing a lot more since her debut and is really popular.

I'm just bewildered at how for some reason they don't include a bunchload of characters. How about 30 characters?
 
I feel that if DK was going to be playable, we would have seen him by now. This isn't to say he isn't unlockable or anything. Hudson is no longer running the show and we don't know how NdCube will approach different aspects of Mario Party, specifically characters. They are giving Toad and Boo boards and they might also make them playable. We will just have to wait to find out.

Yeah that's what I said earlier, if DK were gonna be playable they'd make a big deal about it. I mean they showed Koopa and Shy Guy who are more irrelevant.
 
To be honest, the classic Mario Party characters (Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, DK and Wario- plus Toad, Toadette, Koopa Kid, Daisy and Waluigi) were my main favourites. I am okay with the list, be it just seems a bit too little. Where's Koopa Kid and Toadette? Maybe they are hiding some characters because they want to reveal it further to the release date..... In addition, I am not too proud of Koopa and Shy Guy, i mean they are fine as normal enemies or hosts, but as playable characters? It's sorta like making Koopa Kid playable in MP5-6, when he played a role kinda major Mario Party 2...

I hope DK won't be playable again, he doesn't seem like an MP character despite him being in the first 4, at least, to me. Also, I'm on board for man characters, but 30 sounds too much. I do agree that Rosalina should be playable, though, she's one of my favs! :)
 
If Toadette isn't in I'll be PISSED!

Dry Bones is defenitly OFF. He was seen in mini-games.
Birdo... I really don't care, she's quite useless. Just a pink Yoshi with a hole on her face.
Blooper... please, take this off. It's the most strange character on Mario Party History.
Hammer Bro. will might probably be in, as Boo and Toadette.
Rosie might just be a host for her own board, if she's not playable.
 
Dry Bones - I still have hope he will be playable
Birdo - Yeah I doubt Birdo is playable
Blooper - Just like Birdo he will probably be gone
Hammer Bro - I doubt he's in it because they have Koopa Troopa in it (Hammer Bro is just a Koopa with shades and hammers)
Boo - He fits with Dry Bones because we've seen both Dry Bones and Boo as enemy's,
Rosalina  - will probably be a side character if she's in Mario Party 9
Toadette - I think she's fits with Birdo and Hammer Bro because she is just a female version of Toad (there's still a chance she's playable)
