I thought Daisy Cruise was in MK7. :p

But yeah, I would love to be able to play as two characters again! It was what made DD so enjoyable for me. Except, there's always one unique feature that Nintendo adds to every MK game, so it may just be a feature that's exclusive to DD. :(

At least Bowser looks somewhat decent in MK7. Petey would look absolutely ridiculous in a miniature kart. His head is extremely over sized and therefore it would be difficult to see where you're going.

If Petey is to return, his head should be made a little smaller, otherwise he should keep out of Kart games.

He could take Metal Mario's spot in Kart. Anyway he was in DD and wasn't much of a problem to play with.

That's because DD had huge Karts; MK7 had tiny ones. Don't get me wrong, I'd absolutely love him to replace MM, but you may as-well leave Bloopers Ink on your screen for the entire duration of the race. :p

Odd time to necrochain, but that disparity in kart size really threw me off when I played DD recently XD

Gimmick wise, I think Nintendo have exhausted most of the innovations but maybe they could do a Diddy Kong Racing and have upgradeable items...?

Who knows who'll get in character wise, Nintendo love disappointing us at times. >.<

I happen to think there will be 25 characters in MK8. MK Wii had a total of 24 playable characters, (Excluding Miis) and 25 seems like a reasonable enough number, especially when you take the characters' weight into consideration:
5 Feather
5 Light
5 Medium
5 Cruiser
5 Heavy
3 Mii alternate costumes? :p

It's perfect.

I reckon we'll see some of the new characters in MK7 make an appearance in MK8. Probably Shy Guy and the notorious Metal Mario who gets where dirt can't. :p

If Funky Kong is removed, I'll be overjoyed because I'm sick of him. :p I'll be devastated if Rosalina is removed, though, because she's one of my favourite characters and happens to be one of the fastest as-well.

Item-wise, I think it would be good to have an upgradeable items, but it may just over complicate things.

I hate Waluigi and dislike all four babies, even if Baby Park was a badass course lol. I'd prefer Dixie over Funky, but Funky Kong is fine imo. Metal Mario can go to hell, it's a complete waste of spot imo. Miis, well, I have always hated Miis, but in Mario Kart they're fine for some reason. Toadette must come back, it's an obligation, Toadette over stupid Metal Mario anyday everyday. Queen Bee, well people seem to hate her, and I'm not a big fan of her, so I think we can say bebye.

I'd love to see Hammer, Fire or Boomerang Bro as a driver, it'd be an interesting addition.

That is the best list I've seen for a long time! No Waluigi, no Birdo, no babies and most importantly, no Funky Kong.

The 19 you suggested, plus Miis, Toadette and Hammer Bro would make an absolutely epic roster. :p Won't happen, but I can dream...

I really hope Nintendo start to include Paper Mario characters for a change... Also, Yoshi should have alternate colours to choose from.

There were so many videos on YouTube showing completely ridiculous dream rosters, so I thought I'd make one in addition to my prediction. I think my ideal roster is more likely appear than most of theirs. Plus, it's like they don't know what the difference is between a dream roster and a predicted one...

Note: If your favourite character is not in the first image, be worried. :p Especially if Nintendo sticks to the 5 different weight classes. There are so many feather weight characters, it's impossible to fit them into 5 slots... Nonetheless, the roster will probably be 25 (or possibly 30?) characters whether you like it or not. :p

If you disagree, just say. But before you criticize, I'd recommend you create your own predicted rosters. Then you'll see how difficult it is to 1) Replace current characters 2) Add completely new characters to the series and 3) Successfully fit them into the different weight classes.

And I am not talking about a stupid role in Paper Mario Sticker Star or being an unlockable character. IMMA TALKING SUPER TOADETTE (A game where Toadette is the star :)

I really wish they would remove weight classes, they are really stupid now if you ask me :p (Seriously, why did they have to make Feather and other pointless weight classes?). Also, my roster doesn't have any ridiculous characters (Not including Dry Bowser) that just make you think "Why the fuck are they in there?"

Actually people thought Rosalina was a completely ridiculous addition when Mario Kart Wii first came out. Many people didn't know who she was, where she came from and why she was in the roster. Now, 4 years on, it's pretty much imperative that she's in the roster.

So really, you need to give characters a chance... You never know, you may end up liking them. =p
