Smash tourneys I've gone to~ [Expect Walls of Texts]

I never got around to making this topic.
So around half a year ago, I went to my 1st Brawl tourney. It was really fun, even if I didn't do well. Played some good friendlies and good matches there. XD
...Unfortunately Quebec's/Montreal's Brawl scene isn't big. So there won't be many updates for a while. :/

Date: June 2nd, 2012
1st tourney: Smash 'til you Crash 3
Results Thread! (Got 17/22... =P)
There was a Doubles side event but that didn't really count for anything lol

Characters I used: Mainly Ness, though I went Toon Link for like a match or 2.
Notes: Meta-Knight was banned. Also I won a match against someone who switched to Marth because I switched to Ness, which is a pretty bad match-up for Ness since he gets chaingrabbed and outranged... Then he switched to Wolf 3rd match and I lost that so I got eliminated lol
Played lots of friendlies there. Though since this tourney I hated fighting Yoshi because of Egg Toss spam and pivot grabs.
Got challenged to a Ness ditto, and I got 2-stocked. Though I still wonder to this day how I F***ing survived his Ness back-throw at 150% on Battlefield xD (though surviving that was pointless since I got killed as I tried to recover lmao)

Characters I used: Ness, and ONLY Ness this time.
Notes: Meta Knight was banned, but only by 1 vote. xD (We voted before the tourney started if Meta Knight would've been banned or not lol)

Unfortunately there wasn't much time for friendlies this time, but I did some 2vs2 friendlies with Guard, an amazing Fox player. I usually got the winning kill with a Ness Forward-Tilt xD
This one match I unintentionally saved him; you know that wind the PSI Magnet generates? Well, if your someone is launched, and you deactivate the magnet around them when they're flying, the windbox negates their knockback. My partner lived until 230% because of that XD (This would only work if Team Attack is on, and it's fundamental that Team Attack is on in Doubles for competitive Smash lol) and it's one thing that makes Ness one of the best partners in Doubles. Another thing is that he can heal from his partner, so it helps Ness survive long.

When the tourney started, I had to go against the Wolf main I lost to from last tourney... Unfortunately I still lost LOL
Though if I knew Brinstar was legal, I totally would've went there 2nd match. (Loser gets to pick the next stage as long as it's legal and the winner doesn't ban you from counterpicking it)
2nd set, I faced a Lucas, I won. Though I used Ness' Forward-Tilt so much that set. xD

3rd set, I went against ROB, and I got 2-stocked. Then 2nd match he switched to Luigi, I go to Delfino (again I would've went to Brinstar had I known it was legal this tourney, but the silly tournament thread showed a different stage list lol) and I lost that one too. I also hate Luigi now LOL

...But, we got images taken this tourney! XD

Oh hey, you told me about this back in October on MSN. Pretty cool, that you went to these tourneys. Are you going to enter more?

Of course, I will, but as I said before, Quebec's Smash scene is pretty lacking. Also parents said for me to go to a tourney, I need someone (that they know and trust) to bring me there and pick me up. (though I can be alone, as I was for the 2nd tourney, 1st tourney brother came with me lol)

BUMP. After finally getting a new venue...

3rd tourney: Show me the Poutine 3
Results Thread (I think the results were a bit corrupted, but it says I got 13th/21 lol)

Characters I used: Ness. I went Yoshi in 1 friendly though but I got combo'd badly at the end so I stopped using him LMAO
Notes: Meta Knight was finally legal.

Um, tbh I kinda preferred the one I went to in October; way more people were there (like 2x amount of people lol), and we had a stream so it was more memorable. =P
It was still hella fun though. We actually had time for friendlies this time that weren't FFAs lol

Onto my bracket though...
So 1st set I play against Desu~ who mains Jiggs & C.F.
Jiggs I beat with ease (though 1st stock I ALMOST SD with PKT2 like 5 seconds in the match LOL). Every KO I got was a B throw lol
Against his Captain Falcon though, it was more intense though. We were both at 1 life and like 120% so it was very terrifying, but IIRC I got a Bair.

2nd set, guess who I had to play against? ALLY (MIND YOU HE'S LIKE ONE OF THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE WORLD). While I was waiting for us to do our set, I was really anxious and stressed.
...Then when we played I got owned badly, needless to say. I was so freaking lost in that set I didn't see explosions, mines, grenades and whatnot Game 1 LOL
Then Game 2 we go to Delfino, we both fall into the water, I try to Dair him but I miss and then I died at 50% from an U Smash 1st stock. Then Grab Release stupidness happened. though when the platform went to the shine gate we were both falling and didn't know where our characters were LOL
At least Ally died once Game 2 since he failed to explode himself while trying to recover lol
So yeah that was awful.

3rd set I face against a D3, and it was pretty close both games, but U tilt is dumb and I died from it. Then Game 2 I die the moment he respawns from a Bair LOL

Then after I was doing some friendlies, and I won 9 friendlies in a row (I was winning too often and I felt bad so after 9 wins I stopped to let someone else go lol) against like the same 3-4 people. Why couldn't I have them in my Bracket XD

Some notable friendlies:
Against a ZSS, I won with all my lives remaining. 1st stock I killed her with those armor pieces, 2nd stock I killed her with a Bair and 3rd stock I killed him while she tried to intercept my PKT2 recovery LOL (she died before I fell though XD)

Against a Sheik I got 2 PK Flash kills. Was really awesome.

Against Diddy I survived to 225%, and I was catching those banana peels all day.

Against another Diddy I barely won since we were both recovering and he was winning but I hit him while he was using his Up B and his jetpack exploded and he died before I did LOL XD

BUMP.

Well, I actually went to 3 tourneys (2 during the Summer) and 1 online tourney yesterday, though I never got around to posting the former 2 though I posted my experiences on Smashboards of those 2 tourneys a while back, but then shortly after the bandwidth F***ery happened. Now Smashboards is down due to DDoS attacks and so I can't copy paste those here yet. I will once Smashboards is back up again...

6th tourney: SuperGirlKels' Monthly Streamed Online Tournaments #3
Results: 7th/23rd!

Characters I used: Ness all the way.
Notes: Well, it was an online tourney, so there was some lag at times, but for the most part it was fine. And also, while this tourney WAS Meta Knight legal, NO ONE used Meta Knight, so it was much more entertaining and there was so much hype. XD

Well, one of my best friends, Kels (who I met during my 4th tourney in July, played her a few days before that tourney on wi-fi, and became another one of my best friends ) is a well-known Youtuber who recently hit 1000 subscribers (WARNING: SHE IS LOUD AND WILL SCREAM UNEXPECTEDLY LOL), the BEST (female) Sonic player in Canada (I'd take out the female part because I'd go as far as to say she is THE best Sonic in Canada ;p) and in the Top 3 Sonic players online, also mains Kirby and I am EXTREMELY happy to have met her!! ^__^

So this tourney, has been my best one so far. I won 2 sets in Winner's Bracket, then lost my 3rd in the Winner's bracket (was pretty close though), won another in Loser's Bracket, and was eliminated after losing my 5th set in Loser's Bracket. I'm proud of myself to have earned 7th, because this I didn't get free wins due to my opponents automatically forfeiting for not showing up.

Kels said even went as far as to say that I'm one of the best Ness mains in Canada, and that I improved SO much and practiced compared to my 4th and 5th tourneys. Really meant a lot to me... O__O

By the way, Kels started this thing when we brawled and we started to call Ness' PK Thunder the snail,

(at about 5:30). So if you hear her saying Snail, she's referring to my PK Thunder or hitting myself with it.
And also we started this whole "Ness' head" as my signature thing since that was how I got my kills first round.

My first set is against Nova, who used Kirby and then went Ness 2nd round, and it was actually streamed. To be honest I was expecting to have trouble with Kirby since I tend to get grabbed/B-aired/U-Tilted a lot but since he barely used those moves, it made the match-up SO much easier.
Then after when he went Ness, the ditto was pretty easy for me, although I wonder why he made his B-Throw stale when I was only at like 70-90%.
That Kirby set though was so hyped... and the 2nd kill I got in the Ness ditto. XD (should be an obvious warning to lower volume lol)

Then after I had to go against AZN (or AzureNova ), and Kels was like "oh Timmy has to go against a Snake", and I was a bit scared, but he mains Samus too and went her against me both times. Won that one relatively easily too. =P

I had to go against Manny for my 3rd set, a Mario and Sonic main, though he went Mario against me. It was so intense. Although I never played a good Mario main before in a 1vs1, so I knew that would already put me at a disadvantage. This was ALSO on stream (didn't realize that Brawl was this slow paced but whatever ), and it was epic! I also had some GREAT combos going. I still lost that one, but that combo was sick! XD
I need a few notes versus Mario to keep in mind though... don't go above him (so I don't get U-Tilt/U-air'd so badly), and I have to be so careful when recovering because of the cape and water and to avoid airdodging into him. Also, I need to find a different way to edgehog Mario... that first death game 3 made me feel so derpy, lol
He'll also try to D-air on my shield, I gotta wait until it's over because I can't do anything when he does, and it puts shield pressure on me.
Manny kept in mind to ban Delfino versus me LOL

I had to go against Liz. E for my 4th set, a female Sonic main. Was pretty easy to face her; she's still learning though and I 2 stocked her both times. Her Sonic doesn't play the mindgames on me like Kels' Sonic does.
Unfortunately for her 2nd round, she accidentally did an Up-B under the stage and fell.

Then after, I was up against BrawlMasterX (or BMX for short). He mains Falco and Snake, and he went Falco against me. Well, I need to learn this match up, since I lost both times (and therefore was eliminated). I wish I won this set though because I would've gone against Kels in bracket... Oh well, maybe she'll go up against my Snail and my head next time...

Well, after I was out, I continued to watch the stream, and the finals were REALLY epic!! The players were making such great plays, and it was really hyped up! Unfortunately though, the stream had technical difficulties so parts of the finals and some other sets were missing. :/

In the end, MikeKirby (a Kirby main, and one of, if not, THE BEST Kirby main in the U.S) won 1st place, BMX got 2nd, and Manny got 3rd. The other results were not posted, but Kels said she got 5th and I got 7th!

After that, I had to get off the laptop for a bit, but the stream would go on until 7:30 PM EST, so I came back on at like 7 PM, and saw that they were doing FFAs! The FFAs were in sets of 2s, and I ended up getting the final spot for the final set! 1st match I got 3rd, but I got a Jab Lock > F-Smash (which surprisingly killed), but I got killed by Pikachu's Thunder. Then in the final match, I BARELY won (when I was trying to recover, the Marth player kept on juggling me so badly), but I got a kill with the head! Also, I ended up getting a snail kill (unintentionally, because of lag but god that was amazing! xD)  I thought Kels was going to scream and shatter windows when I got that kill on her LOL
She ended up mentioning Fairy Godparents though and god it was so funny LOL

Well, that tourney was amazing! I played very well, played/saw epic sets, made a new record in terms of placing, and a BIG shoutout to Kels (and her IRL friend Matt, who I've met as well) to hosting this AWESOME tourney!! ^__^

And don't worry I'll get to posting my other 2 tourney experiences once Smashboards is back up LOL

It should be easy to tell that Ness and I have good endurance. Seriously, I usually took forever to die ROFLMAO

Characters I used: Ness mostly, but I went Yoshi for ONLY one match.
Notes: Meta Knight was allowed, I met Kels for the first time there, and it was a hell of a lot fun!

So, my sister drops me off (not directly in front of the place, so I had to walk lol), and when I walked there, I saw Kels walking in as well!

I pay the venue fee, enter, and boy was I glad to meet Kels for the first time IRL! I did a wi-fi match with her a few days before the tourney (as linked in my previous post), and it was fun and hilarious. So we were just talking, and I learned that Doubles were just finishing. =P

So as the Doubles were finishing, I ended up playing Tarex for a friendly, and his Yoshi is still good (and annoying as hell LMAO) as ever. Dealing with Yoshi is still something I need to work on.
Then he switched to Link, and I got a wacky PKT2 on him. Was pretty cool. But then I got killed seconds after he came back from an F-Smash LOL
And then I ended up failing my PKT2 recovery even though I had like a 20-30% lead on him (we both had 1 stock left lol). And I was thinking like "Oh boy, my inability to maintain a lead is going to be my downfall..." .__.

Then registration for Singles begun, and there was a bit of time for a few friendlies, so me, Kels, her brother Jay, and her friend Matt did FFAs together. Was so fun, and we started playing the revenge game and targeted whoever your killer was LOL
I won 2 FFAs, and I believe Kels won 1. We were about to start our 4th but then Morks said Pools were starting so we had to stop. =P

In my Pools, I had Holy, Techiyo, and Genesis.
Techiyo went Marth, and I was like "eh, I don't care how bad Ness vs. Marth is". But then I really learned how bad it was since I never played a good Marth before LOL
So we went on Smashville, and he ended up killing himself by missing the ledge (though he still had the lead lol). Then I got killed by a B-air (at least we both had 1 life left).
Then I CP'd Delfino, and ironically I did worse there even though it's my favorite stage. Got 2 stocked lol

Then I went against Holy, and he went Wolf. First match I got like a 75% lead on him and a Jab Lock (though I missed the F-Smash >__>), but then I was getting juggled to hell. Got 2 stocked lol
Then we went on Delfino, I died at the end from him spiking me in the water. :c

Genesis I somehow managed to win against. He went ROB (though I thought he'd go Toon Link/Zelda LOL), and we went on Battlefield Game 1. I suck at reading lasers, especially when he's offstage lol
I also can't stand his N-air or B-air... >__>
But it was pretty close, and I managed to win. I reflected a Gyro anytime it landed on the ground.
Then Game 2, he CP'd Frigate Orpheon (I didn't have a ban since I don't have Match Up EXP lol), and OH. MY. GOD. That was super intense.
Last stock, I was at 100% and he was at 20%. Then Kels came in to watch, and idk how, but I managed to do my PK Fire string and follow-ups, and I was making a comeback! We were both at 120%, so it was really intense, and I N-air'd, but he shielded, so I was like ASDFGHJKL NESS RUN and thankfully I avoided his attack. Then I won with a U-air kill!!
(And now I really learned the brokenness of U-air. XD)

Then after Pools finished, we went on lunch break, and I went with Kels, Matt and Jay to McDonalds. I just got a McChicken and 6 Chicken Nuggets since I didn't want to spend too much money.
Kels was kind of loud at times and it drew attention, but we still had a good time eating! XD

We got back a bit before lunch break ended, so we did our FFAs again. I got a PK Flash on Kels and she was ANGRY LOL
I still won that FFA, and then our 2nd FFA I went Lucas, but accidentally killed myself at the end since I thought I had my Double Jump but actually used it lol

Bracket started, and I had to go up against Morks (the host), and it was the best (as in hilarious) set of the tourney. So first match, he went DK, and I lost (though he didn't want to do the infinite lol).
I got 2-stocked there, then I counter-picked to Halberd (I would've gone to Delfino but I wasn't sure if that's a good idea against DK lol) and he went Ness. The ending of that match was too funny though. We were both on our last stock, at 0, and he does the ledge PK Thunder, but he fell too low to grab the ledge, so I won that ROFLMAO
Then he goes MK, and he Side-B'd off the stage within the first 5 seconds. But remember when I said my inability to maintain a lead would be my downfall? ...Yeah. D-Smash/Dair/Up-B/Tornado are lame. :c
^That was still funny though... XP

Then I ask Kels on how to maintain a lead, and thank god she told me. Would've been useful to know earlier, but now I know! =P

So then I go up against Jay (Kels' younger brother) in bracket, and he goes G&W, my most hated MU b/c of those stupid Smashes. Fortunately I won that (had a high % lead lol) and then he switched to MK and CP'd Delfino. I won (with a 2-stock lol), but then he raged and I was worried. Then Kels just told me not to worry about him. =P

And then Jay tells me in the bracket I have to go up against either Holy or Tarex. Well, at that point, I was rather worried. In the end though, I fought Tarex, and it did not really go well LOL
So we go on Smashville Game 1, I'm trying to shield the Eggs, but Yoshi's grabs were getting to me and the Grab Release > U-Smash he can do on Ness is lame. Yoshi's Jab was also super annoying since it was faster than anything I tried lol
Well, I got 2-stocked there, and then Tarex tells me to go Yoshi myself since he sucks at the ditto (and said it was retarded LMAO). I was rather hesitant, but... I switched to Yoshi, and my god, the ditto really is retarded LOL
I did a bit better, but I was still 2 stocked. Oh well.

And I was out, but then learned I got 9th (I didn't know how many people were there at the time lol).

So yeah, that's my tourney experience! Had an amazing time there!

5th tourney: Smash 'til you Crash 4
Results: Uh... Yeah, this is rather disappointing, but I didn't place. Will explain...
(There was no Results Thread due to Smashboards being down and no bracket image either, even then it would be pointless to show the bracket)
Characters I used: Ness all the god damn way.
Notes: Oh hey, remember that guy I mentioned, Guard, from the 2nd tourney?! We had finally united and met each other again! ^__^
I saw Kels, Jay, Morks, Tarex and the others as well~

It was all the way downtown, and my sister had to park far away (tourney was in a university lol) for free, so we had to walk for a while. I got scared though because it felt overwhelming being in downtown. =P

I saw Kels doing 2vs2 friendlies, and she and her brother were doing awesome!

Then Jay sees me after their match, and they were so excited to see me!
So me, Kels, Jay and a Snake main do a FFA, and at the end, it was just me and the Snake main left... he had 2 lives, I had 1 life and was at like 100%. X__X
I was making a pretty good comeback though and we were both at 150%. But then I was in a horrible position at the ledge (was on Pokemon Stadium 1) and got hit by his F-Smash while trying to avoid his U-Smashes. Oh well, was pretty damn close though!

Then I just do more FFAs and 1vs1 friendlies... =P
But then I see a money match with Tarex, and my god it was too hilarious! Tarex was being a goddamn troll to his opponent, Shinzou Matt (a Sonic main, and we just call him Shinzou since there's the Matt who is Kels' friend ), and EVERYONE watching was laughing since Tarex was trolling and taunting Shinzou! XD
Tarex won that and won $20 lol

So then I see Guard... And I just really smiled when I saw him, and he did the same!
Then I 1vs1 him in a friendly... God that Fox U-Smash is ridiculous lol. Was close though!

I also had a few friendlies with Morks (the Brawl host), and we had 2 Ness dittos and he went Yoshi against me twice. Well, I won the Ness dittos (god those were so close xD) and he won whenever he went Yoshi (really close though). Was amazing, and my hands were numb and my knees were shaking! XD

Then Kels commented saying that she, Jay and Matt were watching me, and that I did amazing!! I was thinking like "did I really do that well? O__O" and then I tell them my hands are literally numb and my knees are shaking... We all bursted into laughter. XD
And Kels, Jay, Matt and I go for lunch again at McDonalds... well, we got our food to go this time, lol
Though I think there was something funky about that McDonalds (I got a McChicken and 6 Chicken Nuggets again), I had to go pee like 5 times and I did kind of feel a bit weird (not necessarily queasy but I guess... unhealthy?) :/

So after that, Pools start... or rather, everyone else's. I was in like the last pool and it took forever for my pool to start. God waiting made me feel so stressed out... and then the funky McDonalds didn't help either. >__>
I was told that Kels and these 2 other people were in my pools. lol

...Then I learned that the Pools were also "Top 2 make it out"... X__X
Never had a scenario like this before, so that stressed me out even more. :/
I was the 1st one to do a set, and I unfortunately lost. How do you face Ike, that Jab is annoying as hell and he can play some good mindgames lol
Also please remind me to not go on Battlefield against Ike (or any place with plenty of platforms lol). I got smashed on those platforms more than I should've.
And Game 2 I accidentally killed myself launching Ness off-stage with PK Thunder on Delfino (I thought he'd barely go off-stage and be able to grab the ledge) from where I was... >__<

Then my 2nd set was against a Zelda/Marth main, and it was pretty easy beating him. =P

And then I go up against Kels again (I fought her online like a month before this tourney lol)... God, how do you face Kirby and Sonic?! Kirby I can't seem to find a blindspot because U-Tilt/Grabs/B-air/F-Smash is too annoying for me to deal with and covers him pretty well, and I still don't know much on how to fight Sonic LMAO

In the end though, I didn't make it out of Pools... oh well. I played a few more friendlies (against a Falco and a Jiggs lol), and won them! Then I had to leave.

Well, despite not placing in this tourney, I had an awesome time and was glad to have some amazing friendlies and see those awesome friendly faces, and meet some new, great people!

Ok so school got in the way of me posting my Brawl tourney experience I had a while ago LOL

7th Tourney: Kels' Online Monthly Tournaments #4
Date: October 20th, 2013
Results: 5th/25th!

Notes: Best tourney placing yet!!
Staryu has ALSO joined along with me for this tourney as well! He got 4th out of 25th!
Hukster could not make it and so he was replaced by Manny.
Meta Knight was not banned, but only 1 person (IIRC Kels' IRL friend Shan who is a casual?) went Meta Knight. =P

So, that day, I was sooooo worried I wouldn't make it cause my mom had to take me grocery shopping that day, and we left at like 12:50. I was texting Kels frequently with updates and we got home from the grocery store at 1:25. I was in a rush to unload the groceries, took like 10 mins, turned on my Wii and booted up my Homebrew Channel. BUT THEN THE DISC TOOK SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO READ LOL

So, after that HECTIC scrambling to be on time (15 mins late is a DQ, I was like 5 mins late LOL), I'm on my laptop, go on the stream, and guess who I was up against my first set?!?!?! I was against Kels. Oh my luck. It was streamed, but for WHATEVER REASON the streams don't save on Kels' channel anymore.

She went all Sonic against me but I have 0 idea how to counter his Spin Dash (the Side-B) since he can cancel it into nearly anything he wants. We were on Battlefield, and as usual, I took FOREVER to die. I survived beyond 200% LOL
At least I got her to 1 stock at a relatively high %. And my snail was getting to her.

Then I counterpick Delfino (my lucky stage LOL) against her, and I THOUGHT I SPIKED HER IN THE WATER and got an early KO on her at one point but she lived somehow. But then later when she was trying to go through the platform I caught her with my Down Air and spiked her. SHE SCREAMED SO MUCH THERE LOL

I was pretty much just delaying the inevitable and survived beyond like 180% that match.

Was great brawling with Kels again though! It was closer this time around LOL

And so I move to Loser's Bracket...

So my 2nd set, I end up going against Liz. E. (another female Sonic main). First match was closer than it was last time (it was actually really intense trying to get that last kill LOL). I barely won. But then 2nd match she picks Frigate Orpheon, and I got a PK Flash, a spike, and at 1 point the stage screwed her over. I ALMOST 3 stocked her.

3rd set, I go up against a Yoshi main named Blue. He spammed Yoshi Bomb A LOT, and first match we were on Final Destination. I accidentally killed myself doing the ledge PK Thunder trick which really cost me. We were kind of lagging though. IDK WTF was up with me first match cause I wasn't thinking and got hit stupidly many times. lol

Then 2nd match I pick Delfino, and win. I 3 stocked him there LOL

3rd match I manage to win and he counterpicks Final Destination again. He first counterpicked Yoshi's Island, but I banned that cause the stage can really hinder Ness. So we had to reset that 3rd match first.

4th set I go against Smash Ninja. I don't remember who he went first round (I think it was a Ness ditto?), but 2nd round he counterpicks Lylat Cruise and goes Pikachu and I beat him easily. I even managed to heal off of him on occasion. =P

5th set, I go against Manny (Hukster's replacement). Remember that Mario main I lost to last SGK's Online Tourney? Well I lost again. But he went Sonic (he's actually the best Sonic in Florida). Oh my god I really need to find a counter to that Spin Dash cause he can cancel it into about anything upon landing and I got tricked so badly. Also matches with Sonic take FOREVER. I had so much trouble getting a KO hit on Manny. At the same time he had trouble killing me but my damage was not going any lower.

2nd match, I end up going to Delfino AGAIN. And I cleanly 2 stocked him there. I SPIKED HIM IN THE WATER WITH NESS' DEADLY FOOT, AND I ALSO GOT A SNAIL KILL there. Oh how I love Delfino. Shame Manny did not learn that Delfino is my lucky stage from the last time cause I beat his Mario there LOL

And then 3rd match, we go to Pokemon Stadium. Oh my god that match was so stressful and unfortunately I died when there were 5 SECONDS LEFT ON THE CLOCK. I was at like 120% and I just killed his 2nd stock with like less than a minute left. Oh how unfortunate that was.

Matches versus Sonics tend to drag on.

I wish Hukster was here (I actually recorded a match versus him, he mains Ness/Lucas/Captain Falcon) to take his place cause I tend to win versus him. Then I would've at least got 4th LOL

There's more! Staryu was on the winner's bracket the whole time and made it to Winner's Finals! His set versus Kels and Manny were streamed, and they were doing awesome! Kels said his Olimar and Zelda are very stressful to play against LMFAO

So Kels sent Staryu to the Loser's Bracket.

Then his set with Manny happened, and Manny went Sonic again... But unfortunately Manny's tricks prevailed (Staryu went Jigglypuff vs. Manny at 1 point) and beat him. Then Staryu switches to G&W, lag happened AND STARYU WON. Then Manny was being rude and accusing Staryu of lagging the game purposely... -__-

Manny beat Staryu again on Final Destination. He had worked his way back up from Loser's Bracket (he was DQ'd in Winner's Bracket versus Kels for not showing up to his set LOL) to be in the Grand Finals versus Kels!

These Grand finals had me on the edge of my seat. Finals are always best 3/5. Oh my god THERE WERE 2 FUCKING TIMEOUTS. First match Kels was Kirby, and the last 5 seconds she had a slight lead and SHE JUST RAN AWAY OFF STAGE, while Manny runs after her and goes for a suicide Down Air. Kels predicts this, airdodging and Manny died at the VERY LAST SECOND ROFLMAO.

Then 2nd match Kels has the lead, but has difficulty getting a 2nd KO on Manny. Then Manny takes away her 2nd stock early. He plays the hit and run game, and eventually Kels gets the 2nd KO. There were only like 20 seconds left and Manny is waiting on the invincibility spawn platform, waiting for the time to run. Then Manny times her out.

The next 2 matches were FUCKING SONIC DITTOS WHERE YOU HEAR THE SPIN DASH SFX EVERY 2 SECONDS and eventually Kels won the tourney!

She has too much going on this month so no Brawl tourney this month. December 28th though, she is hosting the APEX of Online Brawl Tourneys! I HOPEFULLY can make it (Bandwidth is probably saying otherwise...) and I'm looking forward to it! ^__^

Date: December 28th, 2013
Results: 5th place again... BUT OUT OF 50 PEOPLE!

Sadly, some people did not show up... Also I don't know why Manny wasn't in the bracket even though I saw him register.

Meta Knight was not banned, and 1 of my opponents used him. I still won though.

I was READY for this day! I'm just waiting for 1 PM to come... I show up in the stream early, and Boo and Sol were watching the stream as well.

So the tourney begins, my first set is against Kirby the hedgie. He went Sonic 1st round, it was actually quite even for the most part, but I managed to win. Then he goes Meta Knight, and I win again.

Then I face Neko... He's uses Pikachu. I actually played friendlies with him and beat him constantly, but we didn't agree on what stage to choose for Game 1 and I told him I disagreed with Yoshi's Island... and he chooses it. But I was like, whatever... But I ended up losing that one because I failed to recover at 1 point (it's tricky to recover there as Ness lol), and then when we both get to our last stock... He gets me in the air, and I die from a Thunder at 75%... Thunder is so annoying and PSI Magnet is slow as hell... Why I didn't kill myself and tell him to choose a different stage, I don't know. But I just dealt with it. Mind you I got him to 150% last stock too...

Then Game 2, I chose Battlefield (he banned Delfino so I couldn't go there lol), and I won. But then Game 3 he chose Castle Siege, and I barely lost, but he got a Thunder kill again... *sigh*.

It's funny how I beat him constantly in friendlies, yet tourney day comes and I lose to him. Oh well.
(I'm sure I was doing something wrong but didn't realize lol)

So then I go up against SonicYoshi... Was extremely easy cause he went random.

I went up against Tyson, who I also played a lot of friendlies with, but we always lagged, even here... He uses Starfox characters, but I had an easy time beating him. He wanted a do-over though LOL

Then I went up versus Matt (1 of Kels' IRL friends, and a co-host), he was easy as well. He uses Toon Link, but he uses Down Air a lot so it was easy to punish him. I just kept him above me.

I was supposed to go up against Jay (Kels' younger brother), but Kels told me he went missing in action cause he couldn't find his 3DS. Well actually, after waiting for a while, we tried to do our set, but it was lagging (I blame my aunt for watching movies online at that time lol), so Jay just called it off.

Then I go up against BlazerKirby... He actually taught Kels everything on Kirby. I'll say though... Kirby is ALWAYS a character I have trouble with. Mainly because of B-air/Grabs/U-Tilt/F-Smash. F-Smash and Back Air can kill so ridiculously early... It's difficult to get in on Kirby, and he can combo with ease too. I think I need a new playstyle against Kirby... I got 2 stocked on Smashvile Game 1, but then I choose Delfino, and I still lose... Just barely though. BlazerKirby has quite an impressive Kirby!

Well, I was out, and we were still waiting for other sets to be done, so I asked Kels if she could tell us the results. When I heard from her I got 5th... I was happy as hell, not to mention I beat Neko, the one I lost to... I think he got 9th or 13th or something? And at the end of the tourney, when she said there were exactly 50 people... I was surprised LOL

Now, Staryu was still in, and so was BrawlMasterX (Or BMX for short)... But here's my problem with BrawlMasterX this tourney:

He showed up like 30 mins late, and there was a rule where if you're 15 mins late, you lose the set. Why he wasn't out from the beginning, I don't know. But he starts off in Loser's Bracket... AND THEN he gets 5 FREE WINS because his opponents did not show up or had to leave. And someone ACTUALLY waited on him... And then BMX won against him. He would've been out when he shouldn't have been in the tourney in the first place, IMO. Also, EVERY SET with him has LAGGED badly. Staryu had to go up against him for a set, and he was actually making a comeback as Olimar and doing it again as Zelda... BUT IT JUST SO HAPPENED TO LAG IN BMX's FAVOR. He was using Snake, and then WHOOPS, during the lag, he uses Snake's magic feet to win. BOTH TIMES.

It even lagged in the Grand Finals with Kels too... At 1 point nothing was doable. Then Kels fell to her death... So they had to reset that match. The set was VERY laggy, and when it did, IT WORKED in BMX's favor. During 1 match, near the end, BMX was Falco and Kels was Kirby... LAG happened, Kels loses her focus, she dies, and BMX wins.

Kels got 1st though, and BMX got 2nd. Kels obviously would not win the prize though, so BMX received it. Which I really did not think he deserved due to having several free wins, and causing a lagfest... Staryu should've got the prize IMO. I don't want BMX to enter another tourney if it's gonna be a lagfest and he ends up having several free wins again. Staryu, BlazerKirby, Kels and I (and a few others) ACTUALLY worked our way up in our brackets. BMX just got like 5 free wins and only played like 3 or 4 sets...

We were about 1 hour and a half behind schedule... the tourney was supposed to end at 8 PM, we finished at like 9:30 or 9:45.

Well, after ranting about BMX... Nonetheless, I had an awesome time at this tourney! I'm very happy with my placing!

P.S: Kels is planning to start hosting monthly offline tourneys in my area... I shouldn't have difficulty getting there either. I'll be able to meet her, Guard, and the others again! She said we'll probably have an offline tourney here shortly after Apex.

Characters Used: I used Peach and Yoshi in friendlies since I was doing 2vs2 friendlies with Tarex (yes we even did double Yoshi ), but otherwise I went NESS ALL THE WAY.
Notes: I feel SO proud of myself (Many of my fellow smashers were as well)... Best placing offline so far!!
Ah, I wish Guard was there though... He would've been so proud of me after seeing my sets. However, he was working for a Nintendo promo for Yoshi's New Island, and he's fulfilling his dream with Nintendo, so I can't stop him. :')

Meta Knight was legal, though the stage list was weird. I'll get to that a bit later on.

So I had to travel quite far for the tourney (my brother was with me to drop me off since my mom didn't want me going alone but he didn't actually participate)... My sister drops me off at the metro (which is basically a subway). Had to take 2 trains to get there (since the stop was at a different line from where I was dropped off). Then after I got off, I had to go up this huge escalator ramp thing and then go up several flights of stairs. The metro stop I got off at was connected to the building, and then I had to leave that building and go outside to another building. THERE WERE SO MANY STAIRS THOUGH. It was so confusing to get to the venue, and I was even texting Kels cause I was getting lost and I had trouble finding the last sign to get to the venue. XD

Then I FINALLY get to the venue. I see Kels, and we hug... And she's like "WTF TIMMY, YOU'RE TALLER THAN ME". She told me she thought she shrunk.
So I wait in line to pay the venue fee and to participate in Brawl singles. I also brought my Wii (since it's always good to bring another setup). Unfortunately, no one saved replays or anything on my Wii, though my name list is more filled up.

So I end up doing 2vs2 friendlies (with Tarex as my partner!) against Kels' friends, Shan and Matt. Tarex and I did awesome, and we even went for Double Yoshi at one point...
Then Brawl Doubles are going on... So I'm just waiting for quite a while and doing more 2vs2 friendlies or FFAs (oddly I didn't do friendlies for Singles). =P

Finally, the Brawl Pools start. But guess who I had in my pool. I had M2K in my pool... And 3 other guys. It was a 5 person pool, and it was Top 3 make it out of Pools. I lost against M2K (and got 3-stocked lol), but I beat the other 3 guys! So I got 2nd in my pool!!!!
...Unfortunately, my C-Stick stopped working during Pools, so I had to borrow someone else's controller (I was mainly using Jay's controller; Kels' younger brother). I felt bad though... I even tried unplugging my controller and plugging it back in, but it still didn't want to work. :/
It works now though. Would've been nice to know X + Y + A + Start "resets" the controller earlier.

I was against DarkBlaster first (uses Pit/ROB/Falco), though I noticed after my first match my C-Stick was barely working. It was a pain in the neck not being able to do my Smashes or Aerials so smoothly, so I borrowed Jay's controller afterwards when he wasn't playing. We were on Final Destination both games.
(When my opponent gets to counterpick, I always ban Yoshi's Island lol)

Then I was against Frr, a Zero Suit Samus. But I totally love that match-up, cause I can use the armor pieces quite well. We were on Smashville Game 1, then Battlefield Game 2.

After I went against M2K, and needless to say, I got destroyed. We were on Smashville Game 1, and I counterpick Delfino Game 2. I was so freaking lost though, and Shuttle Loop (Meta Knight's Up-B) is dumb.

I do my final set with Erable, a Pikachu main. For some reason though, I found Pikachu's Up Air to be quite annoying... But I still 2-stocked him. Game 1 was on Battlefield, Game 2 was on Pokemon Stadium. Also at one point he tried to hit me up in the air and then follow up with a Thunder... I didn't let that happen this time (like how I lost to Neko and also Staryu did that to me before...) and I absorbed it with the PSI Magnet.

So in Bracket, I'm against IKCT (the Wolf main) for the 3RD TIME. I faced him at my 1st and 2nd tourney, and lost the set. This time...
I barely lose Game 1. Not too sure why I was struggling though. (Was on Smashville)
Then Game 2, I counterpick Delfino. I spiked him in the water after he missed his attempt to spike me. Then on his last stock, we were both recovering and I was a bit above him. I go for the footstool, and I win! Oh my god I can't believe I pulled it off though!! xD
Game 3, he counterpicks Battlefield... But I 2 stock him with my PK Fire strings and grabs.
I was so shaky and my hands were numb after that set though... Man it was awesome. I got my revenge on him now.

Then for my 2nd set, I'm against ALLY. AGAIN. At least I wasn't 3-stocked though, and I did manage to get him to a fairly high percent on his 2nd stock. We go on Smashville Game 1, then I counterpick Pokemon Stadium Game 2 (Ally told me Delfino was banned... I wasn't sure on that though cause when Halberd is legal, so is Delfino). I've feel comfortable on Pokemon Stadium 1 for some reason, I guess it's mainly cause of the windmill.
Although I did notice he was shielding my PK Fires lol

Then my 3rd set, I'm against MindWolf (a Pit main). I barely lose Game 1 (was on Final Destination). I wasn't sure why I was struggling though. Then Game 2 and Game 3, I barely win. I counterpicked Pokemon Stadium Game 2, and then Game 3 he counterpicks Lylat (I banned Yoshi's Island again). It was VERY close though, we were at like 120% last stock all 3 games. Ness B-Throw is a blessing though. XD

Then my 4th set, I'm against CHIBO (he mains ROB and I think he seconds Meta Knight and he's also one of those people with the Clash Tournament shirts). Oh my freaking god though... It was SO CLOSE, but I (BARELY) lost both games. I was getting my strings and PK Thunders as Ness though, and getting U-Tilt/U-Smash kills. We go on Battlefield Game 1, and then I counterpick Pokemon Stadium Game 2.
It was SO hype though. Many people were watching us (Kels and her friends, Tarex, Holy, etc. and it was like LAST STOCK 140% type of thing. xD
Unfortunately I just couldn't get that finishing blow... And I'm Bair'd as I try to recover. Oh well. I couldn't believe how close it was though and Holy was like "TIMMY FOR NEXT FOW" (FOW is a former Ness main and was the best Ness, but now he uses Meta Knight and Shaky took over his spot for best Ness lol) and Kels and her friends said I did AMAZING and she was even willing to bet money on me for winning!! XD

Then Holy told me Guard says "Good stuff to Timmy for nearly winning against Chibo!!". I'm like wait, "Guard got his phone fixed"? (cause Guard's Android's battery drains way too fast apparently ) I messaged him on Facebook asking if he got a new number (unfortunately turns out he didn't... He sent an e-mail to Holy with his tablet... Oh well). I REALLY wish Guard was there though, he would've been SO proud of me for placing 2nd in my pools and nearly winning against Chibo... And the tourney would've been infinitely better if he was there.

So yeah, I might've had some bad luck (in terms of pools/bracket seeding/controller issues), walk a LOT, and wait for my sister for about 30 mins to pick me up from the Metro and I got home fairly late at about 10:30 PM... But IT WAS WORTH IT!!!!! ^__^

Well, what do you know? I've gone to a few Smash 4 Wii U tourneys since then. 3, to be precise.
(Unfortunately I didn't get to attend a Brawl tourney again after being considered as best Ness in Canada nor did I get to see Guard and I STILL have not seen him)

I'll just (try to) do a quick summary of my first Smash 4 tourney cause I honestly barely remember it, nor do I even want to remember it (ooop lol)

10th Tourney: Smash Intensifies
Date: November 29th, 2014 (yeah it was barely past a week since the game's release )
Results: N/A (unfortunately I drowned in Pools; will explain)
Characters used: Ness only.
Notes: I don't own a Wii U. And I didn't have Smash 3DS. So I had to borrow my friend's 3DS before the tourney... With less than a week's worth of playtime (5 days to be exact) LMFAO
So yeah I pretty much entered blindly. However, it was a huge learning experience for me.
Had to get there from the Metro again. But a friend's uncle (and my sister's friend from a long time ago) was there and brought me home.

First off I learned how ridiculously lenient rolling/shielding is. I could barely punish them b/c the window to punish it is barely there (especially Lucario and Lil' Mac and some others).
Secondly, I didn't (and still do not) understand why you get a reverse F-Tilt as opposed to Pivot Grab sometimes. I wouldn't mind this one so much if Ness' F-Tilt wasn't nerfed.
Thirdly, I learned about the aerial mobility glitch. You literally have to FLICK the C-Stick for only 1 frame, otherwise you arrest your air mobility. I never actually held it, but you either have to be a super fast flicker or change your C-Stick to Tilts (it has something to do with the fact that the C-Stick charges Smashes now). I certainly felt my air mobility getting arrested.

I had a 4 man pool (3 others aside from myself) and it was top 2 make it out. Unfortunately I got 3rd. >.>

I beat another Ness user in the ditto 2-0.
Then a Mario & Samus main beats me 2-1. Game 1 was on Final Destination and I barely lose. Game 2 I CP Delfino and win. Game 3 was on Battlefield and I die from Samus' Missile cancelling my PKT. It was so saddening.
Then against an Ike main I lose 2-1. Game 1 was on Smashville that I barely lose. Game 2 was on Halberd where I beat him. Then Game 3, he makes a comeback. But the most irritating part about it was that I COULD'VE WON if I got a Pivot Grab as opposed to reverse F-Tilt when Ike was at 160%.

Friendlies there were fun, and I met a friend of Kels (she was there too) named Earl (aka Dunston, his in-game tag) who also mains Ness, uses the same color Ness, same GC controller color AND we just so happen to share a scratch mark on the right hand side of our GC controllers. We Ness ditto'd and he ended up beating me in the set. I guess I got competition for that title now.

Funny thing, this was at the same location as the one where I didn't place due to me drowning in Pools (where I felt funky due to McDonalds and I had to wait forever). I guess there's a curse with me and tourneys at that University downtown then.

Now HERE'S one I want to remember.

11th tourney: Uproar #1
Date: February 15th, 2015

Characters used: Ness and my second main but the latter was literally for only 2 matches. Read on to find out who.
Notes: WAY better this time. I actually own the game (the day after Christmas actually) so I played a lot and learned a lot more. Also, the day before, I got to go to a friend's house and play Smash Wii U online For Glory with the GC controller, so I got a bit more used to the GC controller again. =P
It was a Sunday, and it was a pretty cold day as well. Had to take the bus as opposed to the Metro... But man it was freezing. And then Kels' mom had to pick me up from the designated stop to drop me off at the venue. This was literally going to be my 3rd time playing Wii U lol

I was playing friendlies first and people saw how well I was doing and I got quite the hype. People were like "Ness OP, plz nerf". The irony behind that statement is that Ness' moveset got nerfed when compared to Brawl's. He just got better due to the mechanics. =P

Then Kels announced our Pools. I was glad to be in one of the earlier pools b/c I did not want to wait for ages like I did a while ago. We had 10-11 people in our pool, and Top 4 make it out. And what do you know... I got first!! A lot of people started to fear me more afterward. I don't remember all the Pool sets too well, but there were some notable sets. I also had Matt in my Pool and since I picked him up (and he didn't know), I did Charizard dittos with him Game 1, which I barely lost so I went back to Ness after and beat him.
My first Pool set, however, was with Pappy, who went Lil' Mac. I struggled at first and got hit by KO Punch first stock (I derped and shielded for some reason), but then I made the comebacks with throws and F-air.

The hardest one was probably against this Link player who really knew what he was doing with his Projectiles. It was rather annoying getting in, but I still beat him 2-0. At one point he KO'd me at 80% though from the center of Final Destination with an uncharged F-Smash... Is there a sweetspot to that move or something? He was at about 70% so his rage wasn't that high either. o.o
And then I had a SUPER funny ending against a Bowser on Smashville Game 2 where I literally KO'd him with just F-airs. I chained like 7-8 of those in a row (3 onstage, then the moving platform came so I got to do another 3 and then finished him with 2 more). It was hilarious.

I was so happy for making it to bracket this time.

Bracket begins and I face Marit, primarily a Yoshi main, but he went Bowser on me. He actually really despises Ness because he finds him stupid, which I can respect. I beat him 2-0 and I told him I actually struggle against Yoshi cause he can just N-air me and escape PK Fire, and we did an "unofficial" Game 3, and even though he did better against me, he just said "all you need is Fair, Yoshi can't do a thing" and told me I don't need spotdodges either.

Then I'm against Techiyo, and jesus christ Mega Man is ANNOYING. I wasn't sure how to play the match-up AT ALL. I got especially confused with the Metal Blades b/c he can throw them in any of the 8 cardinal directions and so when he did things like throw it down right when his back was turned, it was super confusing and I couldn't get in whatsoever. I lose Game 1 (on Smashville) and then Game 2 I choose Delfino. I did better there cause I can shark from under the stage as it's moving, but at the end, I just BARELY whiff my dash grab when we're both at KO percents (god damn spotdodge lol) and I get U-Tilted. So he sent me to Losers'.

So then I have to face Pappy in Losers' (again) and he goes Dark Pit against me Game 1, and I win on Battlefield. Then Game 2 he counterpicks Rosaluma (yes I'm calling her that ), and I'm thinking "OH, OH, OH, EXCUSE ME THEN LMFAO" (Rosa can Gravity Pull Ness' recovery and it's awkward getting in on her especially cause of Luma so it's really stupid) and I actually did better this time. He went on Kongo Jungle, and I don't know why. I found out I liked the stage because I was sending PKTs from under the stage and he didn't realize so I KO'd him with PKT2 both times.

And what do you know, I have to face Tarex, my Yoshi rival, AGAIN. I swear we face-off EVERY DAMN TIME. Anyway, Game 1 was really, REALLY close, but I JUST BARELY whiff my U-Air as we're landing back onstage (I didn't realize it though lol) and get hit by Yoshi Bomb at the end. We were both at KO percents too. 

I CP'd Delfino, but ironically I did worse there. Yoshi doesn't mind Delfino too much actually looking back (he can shark even better under the stage than Ness), and I got 2-stocked instead and died on the area with the stairs and the walkoff. I should've gone Battlefield instead since I'm pretty comfy there lol.
Oh and then I found out that he was facing Kels afterward (god Sonic is so boring and stupid this game X__x) AND that he had Rosaluma as a secondary but he did worse with her Game 2 and lost to Kels' Sonic so lol

There was supposed to be a stream and the first match was supposed to be me and Pappy (for Pools), but there were technical difficulties and they weren't resolved until much later.

My phone battery died and I got back to Laval at like 8:30, but my mom was kinda upset with me and then we had to go to where my sister worked for the next 2 hours until she was off b/c my sister's car wasn't working and my mom wanted to bring us both home at the same time as opposed to dropping me off and then going back to pick her up. At least I got to eat there b/c she works at a buffet lol. Then I got home and went straight to bed.

I'll tell you about the next Smash 4 tourney, if the results thread goes up soon. I have the bracket, but not the thread. =P

Also, here's something interesting Guard said a LONG time ago... I'll be sure to prove him wrong next time we play (we STILL haven't met again).

12th Tourney: Pray for the King (Smash 4)
Date: April 4th (4th month, 4th day, Smash 4, wow )
Results: 4th/35 (24 man bracket, 35 people entered)

Characters used: Ness all the way.
Notes: This felt like the opposite of my first tourney; this time I got wrecked in friendlies (for the most part), but I did well in bracket somehow. o.o
Also I won money this time! Was a $10 venue fee and $5 to participate, got $35 ($20 profit). So I got 10% of the pot~
But then my mom got mad at me for getting home late (some of y'all on Skype know) lol
Used the 2 stock ruleset. Reminder that this was also before the Diddy nerf.

Guard wasn't there nor was Kels and her crew, but to be fair it was Easter weekend. =P

Like always, I had to travel far and hell I woke up early (like 6:50 AM) and catch the bus and then take the metro there. I got there a bit too early though (was in a college) and I asked this guy at the reception about the tourney and he gave me directions. It was 8:30 AM by the time I got there and registration was supposed to start at 9~9:30 AM. Unfortunately I forgot to bring my 3DS with me and didn't have wifi there so I had to wait there a while and killed time with my phone. Then the hosts show up at 9, but the room was locked and so I had to wait like another 20 mins for them to get the key and unlock it. THEN we started setting up.

Also I got scammed by a vending machine there while waiting cause I wanted to get a drink but apparently my $1 coin got stuck.

Lemme start by saying, I SWEAR, rolls are harder to punish on Wii U and I feel like I move a bit slower there, same with controlling PK Thunder.

We start playing friendlies, and oh boy. It wasn't going as smooth as I'd have liked. I first played against this Mario named Ryuunake and just got bodied (though I took longer than it should've for me to die). Then I face this Bowser/Lucina who I win against (yay for Fairs). And then I face this Luigi named DooM...

I developed a fear of Luigi since that day. His throw combos are scary and I got wrecked. Seriously, I went from 0 to 60% and then at KO percents I got D-Throw'd to Cyclone. x.x

And what do you know, after that, my good friend Tarex came up and he's like "hey, lemme team with my man for some Doubles!". We teamed against DooM and Mindwolf (who now uses ZSS) and we got mixed results. One point I went my "secret main" (Charizard) but that didn't go well and Tarex just wanted me to go back to Ness lol. One point Tarex was in the 2v1 but he made the BEST comeback ever; he broke Mindwolf's shield AT THE LEDGE with Egg Roll (if you know Yoshi you know that anytime you see this move was a misinput ) and he died. Then he proceeded to go in SO hard with Yoshi's F-air and spiked DooM. Although I can tell he was JUST as frustrated with Luigi's throw combos as I was.

Our Pools begin, and it's Top 3 make it out. I had 3 other people in my pool (so basically don't get last ). I go up against Mindwolf first, and I swear ZSS is difficult to punish cause I feel like she has no cooldown. But I manage to win (yay for platforms and Ness' Uair)! Then I'm against this Jigglypuff main from Ontario (can't remember his name RIP) but I 2 stocked him both games. And then I face a Mario main named Gimp (how fitting ) and we had a freaking HILARIOUS set. I win Game 1 (narrowly, with like 90% on last stock). Game 2, as I'm recovering, he capes me so I boost upward. I still somehow manage to launch myself at a northeast angle and sent my PKT in like a kind of figure 8. But then as I launched myself and want to land, I get caped again (I forgot that ) and died. And then he won with like 110% (on Battlefield Omega). So then I counterpick Smashville (he banned Delfino) and I barely lose.

Also that Jiggs main died to ZSS' Up-B BEFORE 44% literally 15 seconds into the match. O__o

Some more friendlies occur as we wait for the bracket, and I had a few funny ones. My friend's uncle and his group of friends are there and we played. Our friend Time was there again (that Falcon who beat Kels and uses Nunchuk ) and he said he wasn't feeling Falcon today and was using Mario (frankly I prefer him over Falcon lol). I got a 0 to death on our friend Jon's Yoshi and that caused a lot of hype. But then eventually when we verse again I lose cause I accidentally SD from trying to ledge PKT but overshoot it.

And then I verse my friend's uncle (name tag is Nost) and he uses Luigi and Fox. I barely win versus his Luigi and I know Fox very well (and hell I got a whole list of them D-Throw follow ups), but I could barely even do a D-Throw > Fair on Wii U... and I didn't do as well as I'd have liked versus him.

I also had some friendlies with a Villager (an MU I DREAD), but some funny things happened. I reflected a Tree but he pocketed it (thank god he didn't hit me). I also reflect his Lloid as he recovered and also I reflected his Slingshot at the ledge THAT KO'D from 74%. o.o

Then I fought versus Matt (the Sonic main). I told him "OH GOD I DON'T LIKE THIS MATCH UP" and he's like "I don't like fighting Ness either cause I'm forced to approach" (wait wut since when?) and then I 2 stock him. He's like "are you sure you don't li-" and I quickly respond "YES".

So then the bracket came, and what do you know... I'm against Ryuunake first, the Mario that bodied me earlier lol. Funny thing, when we tried stage striking game 1, it's usually determined  by Rock Paper Scissors. But 6 times in a row, we did the same thing and just did our stage striking normally. And I end up winning actually. Then he switched to Falcon Game 2 and I was SO mad that I need rage to KO. Does it seem possible to live a Ness B-Throw from the center of Final Destination when Falcon's at 138%? Apparently (lack of) rage says yes. Aside from that I beat him and then he claims he didn't lose to a Ness in 2 months and has the experience (ooooop LMFAO). Well, I guess I broke that streak then! =P

Round 2 I'm against DooM, and I was thinking "OH GOD I'M NOT READY FOR THIS". I had to play SO differently vs Luigi (basically like low risk, and I mean LOW risk) and threw out several Nairs and Bairs and usually got the KO from a Pivot Grab > B-Throw. Although game 2 I got a PK Flash KO once I threw him offstage which was pretty hype. But man it was CLOSE, like last stock 110% close and that MU stresses me out lol.

Round 3 I'm against Tarex, once again! Just like against DooM, I had to play SUPER carefully against his Yoshi and it stressed me out again especially after being so close.
...But for the first time ever I beat him in tourney. I was pretty amazed I pulled that off, cause his Yoshi is nothing to sleep on lol.

Round 4 I'm against Ally, and it's no surprise that I lost. I did pretty decent actually! Game 1 Smashville where I bring him to last stock 85% but then die to (what seemed like) a perfect pivot F-Smash? Idk it's like he ran towards me and somehow F-Smashed. Game 2 he bans Delfino and I go Battlefield (generally I'm comfy there). But I got caped with PKT2 and I got him to like 70% on his last stock that time. I had momentum going first stock both games, but then "Ally stuff happened", as he likes to call it lol. He went Mario throughout (thank god not Shulk)

Round 5 I'm in Loser's bracket now, and I'm against Marvelous, a Ness user and uses Nunchuk (I'm just thinking HOW, CONTROLLING PKT WOULD BE A NIGHTMARE FOR ME ). We had some hype Ness dittos. Game 1 he beat me cause of a PKT2 mindgame. Game 2 I make the comeback on him and proceeded to Grab Release > D-Tilt him out of his double jump and then steal his recovery. Game 3 he accidentally SDs with PKT2 first stock and I took his stock in the same manner as the previous game.

Round 6, I'm against Time, and... He goes Falcon on me (apparently he was feeling more Falcon vs a Ness lol). Man is the rushdown annoying! I get so pressured Game 1 (RIP fell for airdodge bait). Game 2 I baited an airdodge on him where I counterpick Delfino (I'm usually comfy there and I can shark from under the platforms) and then Game 3, I do well first stock but I choke and get pressured again. Then I died in the same manner. =P

Nonetheless I certainly enjoyed my time here, got home late and got an earful from my mom, but I won money for the first time and accomplished some new feats!

Now let's hope I see Guard and Kels again soon... Especially the former cause I gotta beat his Fox.

I went to a tourney the 25th of July, and I was on stream twice, yazzzz!

13th tourney: Uproar Extravaganza
Date: July 25th, 2015
Results: 4th/57 (we had to start off straight into bracket; no pools). Won money, but I think I got more than I should've?

Notes: I still didn't own Wii U.

I had some kind of sickness that lingered a few days beforehand. I had a summer cold of some sort (my throat wasn't completely fine, it was a bit iffy and I did feel kinda feverish) or allergies. I brought a box of tissues and also eye drops (at night my eyes got itchy) that day. My friend Ryan from school (who's kinda casual) went as well and he brought me there and we met up at the Metro and his grandma drove us. =P

2 stock ruleset as always.

Also I seem to have this trend at tourneys where I have to use the washroom like a billion times. Probs just my nerves getting to me, I get nervous/stressed fairly easily. I also got VERY shaky in one of my sets (but I'll get to that later on). =P

ALSO NESS HAS THE BEST AND HARDEST HITTING HEAD IN THE UNIVERSE MY GOD

And guess whose favorite Fox player returned?

I was under the impression we had Bracket Pools (like they do at Apex), but I didn't realize we started with the bracket from the get go until Kels told me.

But before the tourney began, I saw Kels and her friends and hugged her and introduced Ryan. Then I played some friendlies with Ryan. Then I had to explain some things about the stage striking process and whatnot to him, but I won every friendly against him. I was also unsure if I wanted to play with my C-Stick on Tilts or Smashes, and I switched it 3 times (Tilts, Smashes, Tilts) b/c I didn't want my aerial mobility getting screwed up.

And then Guard spotted me and I introduced him to Ryan, and they both said "how are you" at the same time. Then after Guard asked me to 1v1 me... You know I was up for the challenge!

Regarding that, he went Roy actually. Beat me Game 1 with him on Dreamland. Then Game 2 we go Smashville and I won. Then Game 3 he goes back to Fox for old times... I won against him! And then we did 1 more Ness vs. Fox match and I still won.

Then his partner Techiyo came and Ryan was watching so we did Doubles. They take Game 1 (reminder that Ryan's casual), then Game 2 we make the comeback and then Game 3 they won. And then the tourney started!

Now for my sets and highlights~

- First set was against Gimp, whose Mario beat me last time in Pools. I beat him this time and didn't let them Cape shenanigans occur. Then he CP'd Castle Siege, and actually went ROB, but I still beat him.

- Went vs. Shan's DK (admittedly I was getting kinda impatient with him cause he was still commentating LOL). Surprised me how well he did Game 1, and when I was banning stages for Game 2 I was thinking "Dammit I didn't ban Lylat, probably shoulda" and he goes there. But I did better there anyway. xD

- Had to verse Luffy in Ness dittos... Barely lost both games 2-0. Was on stream too, here. VERY close games and hella good Ness! Shield break Game 2 tho... Really? XD

Now... TELL ME WHY EVERY CHARACTER IN LOSER'S BRACKET (minus one), WAS A CHARACTER I HATE FACING. AND TELL ME HOW I PULLED OFF SOME MIRACLES LOL

- Ok so I was watching TNT Kaboom and Dark Blaster. Former uses Link, latter uses Sonic. And what do you know I have to face Sonic, my MOST hated MU (yes more than Rosaluma.). I was kinda salty that I got Spring gimped and also misangled PKT2 as I had to recover. Then I barely manage to win the other 2 games, and I was getting scared cause Sonic racks up damage easily.

- And then I find out I have to face Dhope's Mega Man, who took out Kels and I was SCARED (but people were like "you got this", and Guard and some others were like "oh I have to see this"). I really don't like the Mega Man MU (it's just awkward for me) and Kels said she lost cause she didn't know and, and I'm like "WELL I DON'T EITHER". EACH GAME THO... WAS SUPER DAMN CLOSE. Game 1 I lose when we were both at 120%. Then I requested for Shan to get Guard to watch... I feel like I won and did better once he started watching lol, PLUS I made the STUPIDEST comeback ever; trying to avoid the ledge trump (I know Mega Man can Bair me after), I ledge attack AND stage spike Dhope at 21% for the win LOL. Guard gave me a bit of advice afterward and Game 3 was SUPER close and I unlocked a new level of shakiness... By the end of our stocks I was playing with numb hands, I could barely breathe and couldn't feel my nose, PLUS I kept on hitting random Jabs and other things I didn't want to do... BUT I HIT WITH NESS' HEAD FOR THE WIN.

^You know something funny though? Shaky is a top Ness player... And I could barely get ahold of myself... Therefore I guess you could say I unlocked the power of Shaky within me that set? ;P

I get my lunch break at the pizza place literally next door (my god the slices were HUGE but it was hella good, I gave Shan the other half of my 2nd slice tho) and spoke with Guard for a bit concerning my education/work. I was still feeling shaky... But it faded away.

- Had to verse Techiyo (I know he appreciated the fact he wouldn't have to do Mega Man dittos with Dhope tho LOL), and I was nervous about it since he knocked me out last Uproar tourney back in February. Somehow I won 2-1 though, but I'm still finding that MU awkward.

I also got to see Kels vs. Guard, and Kels went Kirby while Guard went Fox Game 1 and Roy Game 2. It was pretty devastating to see how Kirby handles those guys easily though, I don't expect Guard to have such a good time with them. =P

- Versed Alex (aka IKCT, but now goes by Pixie) afterward (man I miss Wolf haha), and Diddy is the only MU that I played in the Loser's Bracket of the tourney that I don't hate (even before the nerf I didn't mind Diddy too much lol). He had some nice Popgun Cancels (which I didn't know about at ALL) and it was a funny set. Game 2 I got a bit greedy with trying to edgeguard and got spiked. But Game 3, I go to my beloved CP; Delfino. Netted a nice PKT2 and then F-Throw'd him into the walkoff. Then he's like "why is this stage legal" and I'm thinking like "THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DON'T BAN IT AGAINST ME.

- Then I go up against Doom, once again (I BARELY won versus him last tourney I attended back in March), but jeez that was a HILARIOUS set. We go to T&C Game 1, but pfft, on his 2nd stock he died early cause the platform dragged him away. Then Game 2, we start off with silly aerial trades (he Nair'd, I Uair'd) like 3 times (but 3rd time his Nair missed). I got a HILARIOUS thing happening when I absorbed one of Doom's Fireballs; it literally swirled around the WHOLE screen. Then I believe his misinputted Up-B (I believe he wanted to Green Missile) but I saved him with PK Thunder lol. I then had to make the comeback, and jeez, I can't believe I did. Also those misfires were kinda scary. Our set is on stream here!

- I have to go up against Wawasi's Luigi... Boy it was super close. Game 1 was last stock last hit, but then I get CP'd to T&C Game 2 and did WAY worse. I then CP Duck Hunt Game 3 (he banned Delfino .__.) and I was mad at myself for choking lol. I could've won with a PKT2 KO but hit the stage and not myself with PKT. I feel we both had misplays and struggles when trying to get the KO, like I did fall out of the D-Throw > Cyclone once or twice and I tried a B-Throw at 112% from the other side (not TOTAL opposite side) when I had about 120-130%~ rage and I got the red spark but it didn't actually KO. And I died to the Cyclone. ;~;
(I was so close to being in Loser's Finals for the first time LOL)


And now, here are some other friendlies worth mentioning...

- While I was waiting for my set between me and Wawasi, I did some hella fun 2v2 friendlies with Dunston, Wakka, Guard and Pixie. Dunston and I did pretty well, and so did me and Guard once he went Fox. I want one of them to team with me if I enter Doubles next time LOL

- After I was out I do friendlies with Guard and Pappy, and eventually Techiyo came to join us for 2v2 friendlies. Also I love Guard's hatred of PKT... I know I made him salty with my PKTs. I got some nice PKT2s overall as well (I know Pappy threw one of you into a PKT2 to end off the game)
^And Guard... You still stand by this even though we've played on Wii U, with no lag now?

- So Guard's eyes turned out to be red as the end of the tourney was nearing and I offered him eyedrops. I was like "don't ask why" and he's like "because you thought about your good friend Guard?" Yeah. xD

- Gave hugs to Kels and Guard before leaving, had my friend Ryan bring me to the metro then had a long ride ahead of me to get back home~

- You know something weird? I didn't face Tarex at all at this tourney... Almost every tourney we did, whether for friendlies or in bracket.

It was DEFINITELY a blast being at this tourney, I'm proud I got to rep my Ness (4TH PLACE HELL YEAH), win some money, face Guard and being able to bring a friend along with me... I look forward to the next one!!!!! ^__^

And I got my Wii U like a week after the tourney, so... Hell yeah, now the training can begin!

Well, I'm one of the youngest members in my scene, but currently, our oldest is 25 (that being Guard ), while our youngest is 13 (that being Jay). Even so, the Smash community welcomes anyone of ANY age.

Also I like being younger than most others there and still wrecking them and proving them that age means nothing.

So basically the oldest are in their mid 20s and we get a few teens there.
