Miyamoto said that 3D wasn't a "must-have" forr the Wii successor.

This is what I was thinking, 7th gen consoles are pretty much split like this:

-Consoles with new ways of playing, and filled with fun with few hardcore games:
Wii.

-Consoles with same playing archetecture, filled with hardcore games and major graphics:
Xbox 360
Playstation 3

Maybe what Nintendo's next plan might be, is a combination of both!

-New ways of playing(Wiimote-ish no doubt)
-keeping loads of fun games and casual titles with excellent 1st party games

But also adding

-Major graphics improvements
-More variety types of games
-Better Online while still keeping it free
-presenting a controller similar to the Gamecubes controller for those motion-control haters to use on ANY game;)
-HD resolutions

That would certainly make it the console of a lifetime!

As long as Nintendo don't jump on the pathetic bandwagon of certain types of casual gaming (stares at Farmville), I'm all up for whatever comes up. Nintendo need fresher ideas for many of their 1st party franchises, though (but reviving Kid Icarus was probably a great idea).

About the Eyes, NO WAY. Tell me, how would you throw fireballs? (probs digressing, but Nintendo had the Virtual Boy flop, so they won't repeat anything like that for development)

They better go back to the controller, I mean, it's really fun playing with a motion control, but after a while, I'm like tired. I think they should make the two for players that like playing one way or the other.

...and I hope GCN game will be playable like before.

I think the new Nintendo console may have nostalgic controls (GCN like) as well as the default controls. And it might be compatible with Nintendo Wii games.

And GCN game playable, it's not going to happen, because the GCN is outdated. But it still has Mario Party 7, which is the most recent sucessful Mario Party Game.

It's probably going to be similar to the Wii if they're going for backwards compatibility.
The Wii had backward compatibility to the GC and it's nothing close to the GC. :p
THISSSSSSSSSSS

No seriously, this is a good idea. =P Though motion controls might be a little harder to do, since you need the sensor bar and crap. =P

Mario Party 8 was the most recent successful Mario Party sales wise since it sold over 5 million copies or so.

And what is GCN supposed to stand for? Gamecube Nintendo?
