so what's the lore

Well i'm not gonna tell the whole story, it's quite confusing (Which leads to speculation, which keeps the game alive)
this reminds me a lot of the lore around slenderman which revolves around leaving out details and required a lot of speculation in order to remain scary.

in the first game, it's not hard to tell what happened. kids were attacked by the weird costume things. i don't know about the other games but honestly the lore around this game really doesn't seem all that interesting and fairly forced.

Okay so i'm gonna explain a little of the lore on these games *MAJOR SPOILERS INCOMING ABOUT THE SERIES (If you still haven't played them of course lol)*

One of the major events of the FNAF Series is "The Bite Of 87"

The Bite Of '87 was a day on 1987, where a animatronic bit a child's Frontal Lobe (Which lead to the child's death).
That event was known by the players since the first game, where Phone Guy references it on one of the nights.
In the first game we only knew that the animatronic was left behind, so the incident wouldn't happen again. Presumably it only could be Foxy (since he was separated from the other 3) BUT then people started to see hallucinations in the game (One of them, Golden Freddy, which was in a pose like a sit inannimated body).
Golden Freddy then started a huge wave of speculation regarding what/who was that wierd animatronic. Golden Freddy then reappeared in FNAF 2 (where sometimes only his head could be seen, like in his jumpscare) which started another huge wave of speculation because that could not be a "regular" animatronic like the others.
He didnt appear in FNAF 3 (Only as a decoration so it doesnt count).
In this last game all the Plot Holes about The Bite of 87 were filled. It wasn't an accident, neither a broken animatronic BUT a murder! In FNAF 4 we play as a child, that doesnt like Freddy's (The Restaurant) for some reason yet unknown (Which might be revealed on the Major Update on October 31st). A new animatronic appears, which is called FredBear. In the teasers we wouln't know his real color so Scott just had FredBear in grey with his Hat and Bowtie in purple (To hide his real appearance). Later in the game when he appears we discover that FredBear is Golden... Which confirms that Golden Freddy = The Future FredBear.
In Night 5's Minigame, which is The Bite Of 87, we found ourselves (The child) in the middle of a group of teens, each one with masks of each animatronic (Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy). They start to mock the kid and start saying that the kid wants to see fredbear up close. The kid starts crying even more, they grab him and take it to FredBear. Once they reach FredBear (which is singing on stage with SpringTrap (which is also known to be a suit and not an animatronic (Which means someone was inside it)) They say the kid wants to kiss FredBear and put the kid's head inside FredBear's Mouth...Resulting of a Bit on the Frontal Lobe of his brain and his death...

FredBear was then put in a basement, which lead to his decomposition that we know as Golden Freddy :)

And this is just a little of the whole story

Guys. I've got more news on the film. The director will be Gil Kenan, who directed the films Monster House and the remake of Polergeist. He will also write the script alongside Tyler Burton Smith, who wrote for the games Prototype 2 and Sleeping Dogs.

We don't actually know if Fredbear is Golden Freddy, but it's pretty convincing.

Looks like it's going to be shit then. I saw the new Poltergeist and I'm telling you it was so bad I laughed my ass off throughout the entire movie.

Hey, if it's anything like Monster House, it might have a chance. Though if it's anything like Polergeist, well, let's just hope the rampant 10-year-olds like it :-/

OMG...
I'm not entirely sure if this is true, but
Seriously, this is a massive spoiler:
I heard that the Final Chapter's protagonist is the victim of the Bite of '87, thus being indirectly responsible for the closing of The Freddy Fazbear's franchise.
I'll miss all this-part of me wants a fifth installment just because that number is so crucial in the franchise. So mysterious.

Last night, I had this dream where I was the child-all hopeless, scared, and hiding in my room from the demon child of Toy and Nightmare Bonnie-It was genuinely terrifying, and I consider myself lucky to be alive.Despite this, I will continue to investigate the series and relish my favorite thing to come out of it: The Five Nights at Freddy's Musical!
