-Time zones are less of a problem
-Easier
-Based on one persons skill and strategy

Disadvantages of 1v1:
-Not as fun
-Less hectic
-You're reliant on yourself

-Very fun and hectic
-It's a better experience playing in a room full of people
-Team members could help win the game

Disadvantages of 4v4
-Time zone issue
-Team members can help lose the game
-You're reliant on your team

I don't mind either way. Both have their ups and downs so I'll let you guys decide.

Since there's 8 people there'd be only three total fights with a 4 vs style.

But with 4-players, it's usually VERY laggy. That's another con if you decide to do 4-Player. It's not even the connection sometimes, it's just the matter of people live in different locations, so it will not be as fast, and when there's lag, it all comes down to which character is faster, and that can be annoying. XD

Yeah, I remember fighting against you with lag, I wasn't expecting it and that was kind of the reason for my multiple suicides.
