Confirmed by Shigeru Miyamoto (Tuesday, June 10, 2014)! The next game of the Star Fox series. Exclusive to Wii U. Release: Holiday 2015.

More Info

The game was revealed last year at E3 2014, but with very little detail. It's already been confirmed (and obvious) that we will see plenty more this year!

Since we haven't seen Star Fox in awhile, it'll be a fresh break from the other franchises. Hoping to see something really good; I still haven't gotten into the series.

I'm getting this game. It'll get me into the star fox series for the first time and it's good they haven't forgot about the series after what happened with Kid Icarus Uprising (it was planned to be a star fox game instead)

Nintendo reconfirmed that this game will be at E3 2015.

Someone should rename this to Star Fox Zero... and no posts since it was revealed?

Anyhow from what I  just saw on the treehouse live, you can press - and do a screen swap, so the TV and Gamepad will swap. You can play this game now on only one of the 2 screens you wish, even if there's no TV available!

I guess it's clear we don't have many Star Fox fans.
By the way, Project Giant Robot development is in hold, and it may become part of this.
Platinum Games are co-developing this.

Title changed.

I still have yet to play at E3 2015, so I will do that tomorrow and see how it plays out.

I'm excited for this new one! I've only played 64 and Assault, but I loved them both

Didn't impress me as much as I thought it would. Still looks like a great game though.

I'm glad the name was finally revealed. I like the name, maybe it'll have some F-Zero references in it. Like transforming into an F-Zero machine. I've been waiting to see a new Star Fox for awhile and hearing about it last year was sweet. Looks good so far, though it reminds me a bit too much of Star Fox 64. I love 64 but it bothers me very slightly. Interesting transformations and hearing Peppy's famous line again is nice.

Do you guys think Nintendo and Platinum are aiming for an E10+ or T rating here?

Do you guys think Nintendo and Platinum are aiming for an E10+ or T rating here?

Most likely E10+ rating. They would want this game to be accessible to nearly everyone. This is probably their biggest game they want to have out right before Black Friday.

I think they are aiming for an E10+ rating. They probably want as many new players as possible to play Star Fox and I believe there's only two T rated games in the series, Star Fox Assault and Adventures. Command and 64 3D are E10+ so I think they're going to continue that.

It could end up T but it doesn't look like it so far. Like VSM said, this is probably their biggest game and if it is they should probably aim as low as possible for Star Fox.

Star Fox Zero now has a release date! Coming to North America and Europe on Friday, November 20, 2015! Game will run you $59.99. Falco will also be released on this day, too.

I'm waiting for the Japanese Release Date, though seeing how America and Europe got the same Date, I can safely assume, that Japan will get it on 19 November (Thursday), and Australia on the 21st (Saturday)...as usual.

That's what it may look like. Japan gets games on Thursday usually, Friday for North America and Europe, and Saturday for Australia.

Game is delayed to Q1 of 2016.

While I'm disappointed that the game is delayed, it's completely acceptable. The more time to polish this game, the better. Would have been nice to finally experience a new Star Fox this holiday season but delaying it is much better than rushing it for the holidays. They should take all the time it needs. This could really benefit the game.

While I know they must take their time, it's kinda depressing that they can't get it out for the holidays.
