What did you find interesting? I found a crapload of things to clock the tea on

Race to the end
+3 / +4 / +5 Spaces probably advancing forward a number of spaces
Bullet Bill Card makes an opponent move a number of spaces backwards
Lakitu Card steals another player card
Green Space no effect
The number on the side represents the number of spaces you are away from the end
Blue Cards Green Card (Sonic Shuffle) looking card
Mini-Game awards are probably like Wii Party (Giving Dice Blocks)

Me and SZ did translating and we have some juice to pour but I'm not putting it up here yet :p

I think spaces and items are unique to each board, having cards in the grasslands one, and rockets in the space one, each having their own effects on how they work. It's got to be that way, since I can't see any card spaces or cards in the space or Banzai Bill board.

Besides - wasn't it said that all the boards would be unique in gameplay?

True Tea

Therefore

Grasslands - Card Items
Galaxy - Rocket Boosts
Bonzai Bill - Hiding Schemes

I see coins instead of mini stars.
At least there is no car mode.

Where did you see coins?
I saw no instance of coins

What I deduced from the the Bonzai Bill Stage Selection Screen

マクナムキラーをさけなから (While avoiding Bonzai Bill)
サイコロをふってitちう! (It happened suddenly going to roll a dice!)

The ratings:

かけひき - Strategy
ラん - (Synonym) Luck
ミニゲーム - Mini-Game

5 ~ 20 mins

I meant I can see coins returning.
I used some translators and nothing interesting really.
I hope they return.

Seems interesting to have some different things to collect in each board, it makes each one of the boards even more unique. Oh well, I wonder what will be next...

This is what I deduced:
Overall Game Rules
Be the 1st person to get to the Finish Line (Like Wii Party)
The Flag # counter tells you how many spaces you are away from the finish line
Each board map has it's own events that can determine the outcome of the game itself
Grasslands (Toad Town) have Cards for players to use
Bonzai Bill (Mountain) have Dice Block fate
Galaxy (Rosalina's Area) have rocket boost with the fate of the dice block
Everyone moves by themself
Mini-Games

My assumption is that you will play Mini-Games like any other Mario Party. The reward is most likely Dice Blocks as Mario had a Blue (Regular) Dice Block and a Gold Dice Block in his inventory. (So basically it's like Wii Party). Note the Mountain area doesn't have mini-games and that Rosalina only had like 2 Mini-Game Spaces while Grasslands have an array of them due to the length of that board map.
1st Place - Gold Dice Block (1-6) with the Regular Blue Dice Block (1-6)
2nd Place - Silver Dice Block (1-3) with the Regular Blue Dice Block (1-6)
3rd Place - Bronze Dice Block (1-2) with the Regular Blue Dice Block (1-6)
4th Place - NO EXTRA DICE BLOCK with the Regular Blue Dice Block (1-6)

This is also supported due to the fact that we see Peach moving MORE than 6 spaces (She had 7 then it went to 6)

Spaces

Each Board Map will have their own physical spaces:
Grasslands have the +3 / +4 / +5 Spaces along with a Card Space
- The +# Spaces are most likely boost spaces (Like Wii Party + Spaces) that move you up that number of spaces
- The Card Space most likely will give you a Card
Mountains have blue and red spaces
- Red Spaces means you're in the line of fire from a Bonzai Bill
- Blue Spaces means you're safe
Galaxy have the Rocket Boost Spaces
- You will gain rocket boost (Each one is a multiplier) IE. so if you have 3 and decides to use 3 rocket boost, whatever you roll (NOTE DICE BLOCK IS 0 - 5) will be multiplied by 3

This is only my vague assumptions (Some are supported with the beta preview)

Mostly seems like that to me.
Just noticing that Peach did move 7 spaces there as well, so all these seem likely.

But... if this is how they're making the board-play like, do you think the minigame modes may also be based off of Wii Party's other main modes?

...still, I find it hard to see how there's going to be minigames every turn with those minigame spaces still around there... and we've clearly not seen that space that was where the minigame was starting there, so it could be either way...

順番(じゅんばん)決め(ぎめ)ゲーム is probably "Game to Decide (Turn) Order" which I initially mistranslated as "Each Turn (Mini)game". Which still makes me believe this occurs every turn...

I personally wouldn't find that feature bad, it makes it less luck-based.

Anyway, Rosalina's appearance could mean 3 things:
1) She's a host (quite likely)
2) She's a playable character
3) It really is just a cameo (but I'm not sure why Nintendo would go to the effort of making her if she has no purpose, unless it's a clue she will appear in future games?)

I highly doubt a playable character would be a side character like that, so I definitely don't think she's playing. But I do think she could be like a cameo of the galaxy board (because it's her observatory), or maybe a host of one board, which is more likely than anything.

Playing a mini-game to determine turn order sounds great, unless it's a luck-based one. I really like that idea despite making the game slightly longer. I think they are going back to the mini-game every turn thing again.

I think she is just making a cameo to either hint something or tease her fans. The way she looks in the screenshots and videos makes me think that. She could possibly be waiting in the background, waiting for someone to trigger an event involving her by some some type of space (happening space?). Perhaps she might have her own space, at least on the space board.

Come to think of it, it seems that while Rosalina could be the host of that Space board, it seems that Yellow Toad (image H-J put up) is the host of that board, Grasslands. I wonder if this means we have a host for each different board, just like Mario Party 4 was. Would be awesome if they're bringing that part back.
