Can I level with you for a second? For those unaware, someone that has a HUGE signature is super obnoxious. There is absolutely no reason that the image in someone's sig should be larger than two posts combined. Can we all like agree that people should have gigantic signatures? It's fucking annoying when I'm on my phone and I have to scroll past a huge image that only loads half the time.

But anyway, I agree that people should not have huge sigs since it can create traffic and slow down loading times especially if the computer or hardware isn't updated.
What would be gigantic? Larger than 600px (w) by 200px (h)?

If everyone agrees that we can have a size limit for sigs, we can implement that. We just need to all agree on an exact height and width.

I've blocked a few peoples sigs. Mainly if it's a .gif which makes it painfully distracting while browsing threads.
Personally I'd like sigs to be no bigger than Impulse's current one (around 600px width/200px height) though I'd be happy with a conventional 500px width/150px height. GIFs are okay with me but I wouldn't really like to have 600x200 GIFs playing continuously.

I never got any problems with sigs as they are alright and not exaggerating to me, so I don't see why there would be a limit like that, so no, I'm not much going to agree over there because I think it's actually not something like "It's multiple pages long and all of that stuff". Basically, I don't have a problem with the current situation at all and I would find that difficult to put a limit for some people around (including me) if I think they aren't much in the mistake. A few people care too much about those "details" I guess.
I suppose it's also worth mentioning (in case anyone forgot) that you can turn off ALL sigs from displaying if you have no reason to view them.
I guess some people really forgot to look in the settings... I guess it's better to do so if they does really disturbing you instead of putting a "rule". Only problem is that, while some people may like or enjoy some signatures, there's no way to turn off signatures or avatars for each individual. I don't think there's even a SMF mod to do that, either. If your sig is outrageously big, you will be resizing it.
What I was mentionning was my point of view, not the same as Snowy.
Unless they would be cluttering my whole web browser, like, let's say, that I am obliged to put the page down just to pass the sig, I would find it's a problem.
I don't see a problem with them as they seems alright and in the worst browsers, let's say, in a mobile one, as I mentionned above your posts, there's something in the settings where you can check to don't show sigs and it's as easy as that.
