It's fine if you change things to try and make something new, but it's ridiculous if you take out a key factor that made the game fun in a game, only for the fact you wanted to try something new, I have no opinion on Sticker Star, because, well, haven't played it yet, my only problem is that it looks like considering your attacks are limited to a one use system, it's going to be easy to run out of attacks, and if leveling system is taken out, it's pointless to even battle other enemies.

How are you going to run out of attacks when there are stickers everywere.

I totally agree with this. Well written, Chaos.

Easily, imagine you have an enemy that is stronger than others and you weren't spending time to look around for stickers in odd places, then you run out because you didn't know the weakness of the enemy, what happens. Albeit there isn't really enough information out yet to know like anything, but it happens.

Basically if you run out of stickers and keep running from battle then lose coins, you're kinda screwed.
There does have to be a way to get game over.

Imagine you got to The final boss with no stickers and no coins. "FUUUUUUU-"
It would make you wanna destroy twin buildings.

I don't think partners are coming back.
It looks like it.
But if the Chomp is a partner, it would probably be a replacement for Kooper/Koops/Thoreau because you can throw the Chomp. As for Toad, well...
Nope it looks like the chain chomp is a sticker.
Possibly, but it could also have been a beta partner before stickers were applied into the game.

I was so excited for this game...and now it looks like it's turned out to be a damn s***hole.

Really? Partners over stickers? And the whole atmosphere of the game doesn't ring Paper Mario to me.
If you mean stickers over partners then I agree with you that it was a bad choice.

Yes. That is what I meant. X_X
I must too agree with this. Maybe, it'll be great too, we'll have to play it first, but the idea doesn't seem ight.

I agree with you. I think the new sticker system looks bad, I was excited when I saw partners again, but I don't like the new sticker system.

Chubz: Please add more to the conversation.

I won't judge too much until I play it, but yeah, the gameplay concept looks atrocious. I am glad they brought back the turn-based RPG aspect though. It almost looks like the Slieghts system from Kingdom Hearts: CoM, in which you used a certain set of cards in order to perform special attacks.
