But, Sticks is playable, so are Jet and Rouge.
We saw Zazz in 3 trailers now.
To keep balance, they'd add 4 new characters per series, it's obvious Zazz will be playable.
What if Zazz is only a rival? :'(

This seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle of all the other Nintendo Direct news, but new videos from the Japanese Direct confirm several new playable characters joining the festivities alongside Diddy and Nabbit including Dry Bones! Rosalina! & the Koopalings!
There's also what looks like a support team of Toads in Rugby, not sure if playable.
There are also a few new Sonic friends visible, namely Wave and Sticks.

You're totally right, Soccer(Football!) not Rugby has what looks like a Toad Brigade cameo.
Also if the Koopalings are playable, then the Deadly Six are playable too, which means Zazz is the first one confirmed

So I used The auto-translate for the subtitles in the video, and The translation is terrible, I got the basic idea.
First they talked about how next year the Olympics are going to be held in Rio, then they talked about the various events and such. The 3DS exclusive mode uses the pedometer on the 3DS to have some kind of Marathon thing. (Man, I really need to learn Japanese.)

Same here. That's a really big expansion of characters, and hopefully they don't have certain characters for each system. That would be stupid, but maybe Nintendo might do that. :/ Also, I'm hoping they didn't cut anyone from previous games.Yoshiman222 said:

-Charmy and Espio- They used to be refrees, for example, in the Long Jump they were the ones that calculated your distance BUT in the newest trailer, when Waluigi is doing Long Jump, they have been replaced by Orbot and Cubot! COINCIDENCE? I DON'T THINK SO
