Mario Party 9 Characters

[Timmy]

I think they'd have more than 11 characters, plus MP6 had 11 characters total so I doubt after that they'd have less characters (not counting MPDS lol) I kinda want to see Brighton, Twila and/or Tumble as a cameo at the least.

It's really suspicous that there are 11 characters. now I see birdo, I kindda think that Toadette is the next one to be back.
But i just can't put my finger on the ''yellow toad'' issue. Is he a playable character, host, or what? o.o
I just only hope the original characters of other games return, and koopa and shy guy as new playable
that's surely nice ;D

[FifthDegreeBurn]

I dont get why the new group developing this game wouldnt bring all the past characters from Mario Party 8. Even though some were pretty weird (Blooper) Im sure a lot of people want him back. Personally I think Birdo should not be in if boo and dry bones and the others are not it.

Yellow Toad looks to be the host in Toad Road as seen in the newest trailer.

[GamerGuy09]

It seems toadette will be the last character.

The reason is most mario party game characters have partners.

Mario-Luigi

Peach-Daisy

Wario-Waluigi

Yoshi-Birdo

Boo-Dry Bones

Toad-Toadette

Koopa Kid-Boo (in MP5)

DK - Yoshi (through 1-4)

And since its unlikly that Koopa Kid or Dry Bones is in the game. Toadette pairing with Toad would make sence.

Also is the yellow toad the host of all the maps or just toad road?

[Vipsoccermaster]

For now, Yellow Toad appears to be the host of Toad Road.

[cookieboy17]

If so I wonder who would host other boards? I mean it's not like a blooper or cheep cheep is gonna be the host of a board.

Well, it would be like Mario Party 4.

Yellow Toad - Toad Road
Boo(?) - Boo's Horror Castle
Pink Bob-omb Buddy(?) - Bob-omb Factory
Cheep Cheep(?) - Water board

And I'm sure that's as far as my speculation on hosts can go.

This would be a better list of hosts:

Yellow Toad: Toad Road

E Gadd. - Boo's Horror Castle

Pink Bob-Omb Buddy - Bob Omb Factory

Pianta or Fludd - Unnamed Water Level.

[♥Princess Peach♥]

The guys form Mario SunShine(Dont know their name)- Water board?

I'm assuming you mean Piantas, right?

[Baconfat23]

Pianta for the water board would be a good idea. I think King Boo should be for Boo's Horror Castle. I think Bom-Omb's Factory's host should be E Gadd because of all the machines. And Yellow Toad is host of Toad Road although I think it should be Toadsworth.

Has strange feeling Mii's are going to be fully playable characters in this one. Which I like!

So I'm guessing their not taking risks with new characters in this one. So I guess seeing Pauline, Rosalina, or completely new characters is out. Which is kinda sad I was hopping to see new faces join the party. But with the way things are going it seems Toadette may be the next character introduced. Then probably Boo since he has been in the party games for a while.Kinda wish Bowser Jr. was a playable character I have grown fond of him the last few months.

I hope so, I love playing as myself. I use to hate the thought of Miis back then, but I really like them now, and I hope to see a fully playable Mii in MP9.

Playing as yourself is so corny I never do it.

I think adding miis just make it feel less like a mario game. Ive never used a mii in any game and i dont plan on it.

Also do you think shy guy and koopa are going to be the only new characters. Nintendo said a "few" new characters. I thought few always means three but I dont know.

[Baconfat23]

^
I don't think so because every Mario Party they add 2 new characters.

[topper1]

I don't mind Miis. I use mine quite a few times in MKWii and 7. I probably would as well in MP9 if they appear, even though I don't think they will.

Shy Guy and Koopa are good additions

I NEED Rosalina to be in this!! She is my favorite!
