It hasn't been confirmed yet, the list so far is just from the characters seen in the trailer, a couple of people are just worried that those may be the only characters though.PartyPopStar said:

I'm not obliged to speak about characters I don't really care about, therefore you got as much of an answer from me as you're gonna get.
But it's good to see that Toadette's inclusion hasn't been confirmed or denied yet.
Hmm... It is possible that Toadette, Boo, Birdo, and Hammer Bro. will return in this game. As most Mario spin-offs incorporate some kind of partner system, it is likely that Yoshi could have Birdo, Toad could have Toadette, Koopa Troopa could have Hammer Bro., and Boo could have Shy Guy. Of course, partners don't partner up randomly. Koopa Troopa and Hammer Bro. could be partners because they're both generic characters of a Koopa species, while Boo and Shy Guy were partners in Mario Power Tennis.
^Weren't Shy Guy and Fly Guy partners? I think it only showed Shy Guy and Boo being partners because you had to unlock Fly Guy.

If they don't include Toadette then I am going to die. She had THE BEST taunt! XDDD It was like they just didn't know what else to make her say, so they were like "Well, she's part mushroom, so yeah..." XDD But it's awesome because it's goofy and hilarious.

I still think that Boo will be on because every time that they needed to use Boo, they had a Pink Boo. This was especially seen on Mario Party 6 for Duel Mode; Boonanza, etc.
I liked very much Koopa Troopa and Shy Guy been now playable, but I would want they put Rex (SMW) and Koopatrol (Paper Mario) too.
I know this sounds crazy, but i wouldn't mind playing as the Dennis Hopper movie version of King Koopa...would be hilarious.
I'm sure you'd like to play as the Goombas too?
