1: His last name is "Mario" (He's Mario Mario, in fact)

2: The graphics for the bushes and clouds are the same, with different colors

3: His first appearance was actually in 1981 in the arcade version of Donkey Kong, where he was known as “Jumpman.” He wouldn’t get his official name until the following year’s Donkey Kong Jr., also the only game where he plays the bad guy.

4: Not only is Mario the best-selling video game character of all time, he’s also its most prolific: according to Guinness World Records’s 2008 edition, he’s appeared in 116 separate games.

5: Mario’s distinctive high-pitched voice is provided by actor Charles Martinet, who also voices Mario’s brother Luigi and his longtime foe Wario.

And did you know Mario is a PLUMBER?!?!?!?!

Also, some of your "genius" points are fault.

1: No, it's not. "Mario Mario" is an unofficial name for the fatty Italian that has not been recognized from Nintendo, nor has it appeared in ANY game text. The only place where it appears is on unofficial game guides and on fan sites. So, FALSE.

3: Once again, wrong. Donkey Kong was released in 1980, not 1981. And Jumpman was renamed Mario in the American version, which appeared before Donkey Kong Jr.

4: These "separate games" are debatable since cameos and promotional pocket games don't count as actual games.

Dude, All of us already knows he's a plumber. And my genius points are not fault. You're pointing things out wrong. If you don't believe me, GOOGLE IT UP FOR DAMN'S SAKE!

The game 1st appeared in 1980 (IN JAPAN). And secondly, His name IS Mario Mario. He has appeared in any game text.

And If whatever you said is true, Post some Proof "smart-a**"

Well, in the Super Mario Bros. Movie...Luigi states that his last name is "Mario" and Mario's is also "Mario". Resulting in "Mario Mario"and "Luigi Mario". But I dunno if you'd call that official...

But like you said...the name "Mario Mario" hasn't been recognized from Nintendo, most likely making it unofficial.

But then why would it be called Mario Bros. if the surname Mario is not official? It's not like they'd call them the Mario/Luigi Bros....
