Kamek (Magikoopa in North America), is the nineteenth character in the Mario Party Series. Kamek’s goal in Mario Party 9’s Solo Mode is to try to force you to restart the board if he wins against you. In other words, Kamek works for Bowser, along with Shy Guy. Try your best not to lose to Kamek in any of the boards. Kamek is a secret hidden playable character that can be played in any mode except Solo Mode. Kamek has his own board in Mario Party DS, Kamek’s Library. He is also the boss of that board, as well. Kamek is the famous non-playable character in Mario Party 8 that used a word that was considered offensive in the United Kingdom, therefore pulling Mario Party 8 away from the shelves in order to replace the offensive word. It was then released later on Friday, August 3, 2007.
Kamek is a type of Koopa that is on high authority, but not as high as Kammy Koopa. Kamek uses magic to attack you and assist other Magikoopas. Kamek is also the main antagonist in the Yoshi Series. It was responsible for attacking the stork that was carrying the babies, Baby Mario and Baby Luigi. However, while it was successful in attacking the stork, it only managed to kidnap Baby Luigi. Kamek would use his cronies, the Toadies, to kidnap Baby Mario for him, to take Baby Mario and Baby Luigi to Baby Bowser. However, Yoshi, with Baby Mario, managed to put an end to Kamek’s plans, as well as the plans of Baby Bowser.
