Minigames from past Mario Party games are set to return in Super Mario Party Jamboree.
As seen through the major updates from the official Japanese website for the game, at least a dozen classic minigames have been spotted among the 110+ minigames. Some are very clearly pulled from a past title, while others have received heavy visual updates, and it’s not totally clear they are still the same minigame.
Here are the minigames that are directly pulled from their original games and do not feature any major changes outside the visual upgrades:
These minigames now include an additional player and are likely designed as battle minigames for allies. Some elements of these minigames seem to have changed:
Bumper Balls | Mario Party 2
Shy Guy Says | Mario Party 2
Leaf Leap | Mario Party 5 |
And these minigames remind us of classic minigames, but it may be too early to count them as retro:
Bash ‘n’ Cash | Mario Party
Crank to Rank | Mario Party 8
Alpine Assault | Mario Party 8
Fruit Scoot Scurry | Mario Party 10 |
Some fans have noticed a few more minigames that looked familiar, but we’re not convinced just yet. These include Right Oar Left? (MP4), Mosh-Pit Playroom (MP8), Billistics (MP9), and Hop, Drop, and Roll (MP10). Images of each one:
Let us know if you think they’re the real deal!
