Hope it'll be far better than MP9.

Minigame activated by space just as it is in MP9. At least we're not stuck together.
Not being stuck together should certainly increase the amount of mini-games played, despite it apparently being activated by stepping on a space, like MP9.

I do hope it's better than MP9 too (I actually really liked MP9). The game looks really creative and fun, so I have high hopes for it.

It looks like they race for points in laps. a.k.a they go around the whole board once they get a point. then they just keep doing this. until the turns are over. i got that from the finish flags on the side of the characters.

The flag count is how many spaces away from the finish they are, not how many laps. :p Would make for really long matches if they went across the board 60 times... O_O

Exactly. Unless the map was like 3 spaces (which of course that's not happening :p).

If it did, pretty sure most people would quit mid-game due to boredom. Can be fun for a really long match for yourself, but I don't see people doing that. Short matches keeps the game fun and a bit fresh.

I think Mario Party 9 isn't that bad really, it could be better though. I hope and know there will be less luck as the players aren't stuck together in the same vehicle. I hope the next new thing they try is better than the vehicle mode. From what I've seen and heard so far the game looks promising.

Making laps around the board in a specific amount of turns would be cool. They would have to make the boards a certain length. Whatever the goal is, I hope it ain't too short or too long (being too long isn't that bad if there's a save function).

I know I don't want to make over 60 laps around the same board  :p

Well, MP3DS already looks a little more promising than MP9 is, although they did make MP9 look like it was going to be much greater than how it ended off going to be.

This one will probably be a little better overall, just because they have multiple different kinds of boards to play instead of playing with the same rules over each one hugely relying on luck (if turn-based minigames are in it).

We'll have to wait until there's more footage before we can really get an answer to this, though.

The game features seems interesting, but it's actually hard to say as long as we don't know more details. Of course, we are traveling seperated like the games before Mario Party 9, but it's still a little difficult to say what are the actual features. But it looks promising, so I want to know more about this game and how it will be played. Better than Mario Party 9? It's hard to say now, so I will have a better opinion when I will be able to play this game, but I'm sure it might be at least as good as it's predecessor.

I think for a new mechanic is where vehicles are back but there are all in different cars and if someones car get dorven over they will have to go back to the beginning of the board and whoever
did that would get further in the board

So far, most boards look like it's a race to the finish. But wouldn't it be cool if it's like Mario Kart if they do a few laps around the board? But what would the effects of the spaces do if a player lands on one? Good question!

Maybe the effects of the 'cards' would make a player miss a turn if it is a race, or go back a few spaces, etc.
