I've seen this in Solo Mode; If there are less than 4 players, the empty spot(s) will be replaced by Mecha Koopas. They act like players when rolling a dice block. At the end, it disappears with the Mini Stars it won.31GHT B1T S3RVANT said:

My favorites are Dice Block Chicken and Heart Star Colony. All of the captain events are pretty fun though. 
The Heart Star one. Least favorite? The Rat race one. The Boo's castle one would be just fine if the game didn't rig up the dice so that we get ones and the rat gets dash spaces.
Bob-omb factory one. Pretty fun! Didn't like Heart Star though.

Dice Block Chicken is great!
Dice Block Chicken. Least favorite is Scaredy Rat Race.
My favorite one would be the DK one because it does not involve a dice block. My least favorite is Scaredy Rat Race, because i barely win this one.
The DK one by far" the DK event reminded me of the good ole DKC days” where you got Gold Animal Buddy statues, Red Baloons, & Kong Letters from matching barriels but the Red Baloons you got for using keen eye sight, and trying to spot"

My favorite Captain Event would have to be Dice Block Chicken from Magma Mines as it was pretty entertaining for a Captain Event. I'm rarely captain for the event but it's still fun. The Captain Event for Dk's Jungle Ruins was another one I really liked, especially when DK and Diddy Kong tries to distract the players. If I play with someone like my niece, we would pick the right barrels if one of us are the captain.
