    How I say things could be (a site confirms Cloudtop Cruise for the Special and Tick Tock Clock for the Lightning): melody Motorway for the Banana Cup instead of DK Jungle (which is a Special Cup Course that doesn’t go into the Banana Cup) and Grumble Volcano in the Leaf Cup.

    Woah, where’s the confirmation that Rainbow Road is in the Special Cup? I really want to see it! 😀

      Hasn’t been shown, but it was mentioned by the developer! But really, who wasn’t expecting it. 😛

        Yeah I guess so. But you never know, maybe Nintendo is changing things up and putting it in the star cup!

    I’m hoping these are the tracks in the Leaf and Lightning Cups:
    Leaf Cup:
    SNES Vanilla Lake 2
    3DS Melody Motorway
    Wii Grumble Volcano
    GBA Ribbon Road

    Lightning Cup:
    3DS Piranha Plant Pipeway
    DS Tick-Tock Clock
    GCN Wario Colosseum
    N64 Rainbow Road

    I noticed a pretty nifty detail in Sunshine Airport. On some crates, instead of the serial number 33742MK, its 55402MS instead. That second serial number, as far as I know, actually makes up the European release of Super Mario Sunshine:
    55402MS= October 4th, 2002, Mario Sunshine.

    If Nintendo doesn’t put GCN Wario Colosseum in, I’ll lose it. It’s the PERFECT TRACK for anti-gravity mode, especially with the spiral section after landing in the dome. That split path with the jump in between would be great for anti-gravity and gliding. Then the boost-less jump that leads to the rail-less path close to ground level could be underwater. The track had better be in this game!

      I totally agree with you. Wario Colosseum, aside from DS Rainbow Road, felt much like a rollercoaster ride. With Mario Kart 8’s antigravity mechanic, it would be stupid NOT to put it in as a retro track.
      Also, to add to your view of this track, the big jump can be incoperated to use the hang-glider. But yeah, it should be in the game.
