The Great Sea Collectibles – Paper Mario: The Origami King Guide

Our The Great Sea collectibles guide details every Toad, Not-Bottomless Hole, Collectible Treasure, and Block in Paper Mario: The Origami King.

If you need a step by step guide to completing the main objective in this area, check out our The Great Sea Walkthrough.

The Great Sea only has collectible treasures to find and nearly all of them can only be obtained after rescuing specific Toads on the different islands. The red marks on the map above show the locations of each collectible treasure marked by a Toad. The blue mark in the bottom right corner is also a treasure. Green marks don’t hold any collectible treasures.

  • 1 – Question Island (top of hill)
  • 1 – Hammer Island (northern section)

It’s a Toad. He’ll mark an X in quadrant D6 on your map. Destroy the rock on the left side to reveal the chest.

Collectible Treasure #88: Rescue the Toad on Hammer Island by whacking the hole on the path. He’ll mark an X treasure in quadrant A1 on your map. The treasure chest is one the left side.

Collectible Treasure #89: There’s one collectible treasure that you simply have to dive down to get without having it marked on your map by a Toad. There’s actually a Shy Guy out in the sea that’ll give you a tip about this treasure. Go to quadrant G7 and place yourself between the eyes of the Blooper on the map. There you’ll find an arch in the shape of Blooper. Dive there to find the treasure chest being carried by a group of Bloopers.
