Here’s every Easter Egg we’ve spotted in Mario Kart World, including a list of music remixed from through the Super Mario series.
The map of Mario Kart World is massive, and within its many courses and different biomes lie dozens, if not hundreds, of references and shoutouts to both previous Mario Kart titles and the Super Mario series as a whole. Some Easter eggs are more apparent than others, but we’ll include those and all the little surprises hidden across the world — as many as we can find, at least! And don’t get us started on the music. With over 200 music tracks, the soundtrack is booming with nostalgic references.

Mario Kart Easter Eggs
With over a dozen Mario Kart games released, there’s plenty of history to pull from the past 30 years.
Super Mario Kart Billboard
Head over to the northern entrance of Mario Circuit to find a nostalgic billboard featuring character sprites straight out of Super Mario Kart. The billboard specifically calls out the SNES game’s title screen where the eight playable characters ride across a grassy terrain.
The game’s original Japanese release date of August 27, 1992 is also proudly stamped into the bottom right corner. Not sure what the MRC-MS stands for though!
There’s more! Stickers of the original eight characters (Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Bowser, Donkey Kong Jr., Koopa Troopa, and Toad) can be seen slapped around Mario Circuit. Find them in various poses on ramps, behind billboards, and even around the starting line banners.
Additional Super Mario Kart Tracks
Koopa Troopa Beach (a remake of Koopa Beach 2) and Mario Circuit (a combination of Mario Circuit 1, 2, and 3) both return as Super Mario Kart retro tracks in Mario Kart World, but did you know there are other SNES classics hiding within the map? The rest are all tied to P-Switch missions where they get official missions to race three laps around the original courses, complete with classic tunes. Here’s where to find them all:
Super Mario Easter Eggs
It should come as no surprise that the Super Mario series has an even richer history than the Mario Kart series, and Nintendo made sure to celebrate this all throughout the world.

Sticker References
Mario Kart World has a ton of stickers to unlock, and you can find them automatically by driving certain distances, collecting various coin amounts and several them point at characters, worlds, and objects outside the game.
