So what's your Game of the Year now that the crappy VGX show is over? I'll post mine later.

Super Mario 3D World.
Just ahead of Rayman Legends.
I loved the levels.

I loved the levels.
Out of personal preference, Fire Emblem: Awakening or Super Mario 3D World. Both are beautiful games in their own way and provided hours of entertainment for me and my friends.
Super Mario 3D World, the most magical game in existence, ever. There were so many good ones on all levels. Also giving love to Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Pokémon X and Y, and LEGO City (WiiU)-they came so close.
Metal Gear: Rising
Shin Megami Tensi: IV
Killer is Dead
Battlefield 4
Borderlands 2: Tiny Tina's DLC
One of them, I can't pick.

My Selection: Still this above
I'm torn between Dark Moon, 3D World, and Tomb Raider.
I think I'm going to go with Tomb Raider. It went above and beyond my expectations, and they were already high to begin with.

Tomb Raider was great. I finished that a month or so ago and really liked it.SuperZambezi said:
Fire Emblem Awakening
I found myself going back to that game so many times this year it was so fun.

For myself, I can't really narrow it down to one, there were so many fantastic games that have came out this year.
My list would would have to be:
Fire Emblem Awakening
Shin Megami Tensei IV
Pikmin 3
Rayman Legends
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
Pokemon X
My 3DS got a lot of love this year. Fire Emblem Awakening I adore, Shin Megami Tensei IV is JRPG goodness, Pikmin 3 is beautiful, Rayman Legends is crazy fun, LoZ:ALBW is so very classic, and in my opinion the best Zelda I've played yet gameplay wise, and lastly Pokemon X, which I'm still playing and it's amazing. I've been loving getting back into Pokemon after not playing any of the games since Pearl.
I haven't played Super Mario 3D World yet either.

I can only say one game - Fire Emblem Awakening
Probably one of the best games I have ever played!
I keep going back to my only file in it I love it that much!
...I'm in dire need to play that game again for the second time, but I can't because I really like how my first file ended off.
And still is going.
I REALLY WANT MORE DLC FOR THIS GAME NOW.
The only downside, I'll say however, was the lack of a true Multiplayer experience. Double Duel just doesn't seem interesting to me at all - I'd rather have what Streetpass had and battle their teams live (without consequences, of course).
Hopefully, the game will be updated soon to have more DLC or the Multiplayer I dream of, (though extremely unlikely) but for now - I still love this game so much!
It's probably became an all-time favorite of mine (Not #1, but in the Top 5 at least)

^ Try Lunatic mode, it's fun.
Haven't ranked the games but my top 10 list i've been working on for the podcast currently includes
The Last of Us
Bioshock Infinite
Super Mario 3D World
DmC Devil May Cry
Tomb Raider
A Link Between Worlds
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies
Pokemon X/Y
There are still a few games I want to try to squeeze in before I finalize my list as well. But those have been the games that have really stuck out this year, there are also some ports (DKCR: 3D, Walking Dead Vita) that i would put on as well.

I'm really saddened.
Brothers and Teraway were both amazing. Brothers was my #4 GOTY.
FWIW here is my full list although it was made before I played Tearaway. Not sure Tearaway would've made it though.
1. Animal Crossing New Leaf
2. The Last of Us
3. Bioshock Infinite
4. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
5. Super Mario 3D World
6. Fire Emblem Awakening
7. Pokemon X/Y
8. Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies
9. Tomb Raider
10. DmC Devil May Cry
Thinking about it now, I probably would've rearranged a few things on the list, Tomb Raider probably would've came off and Tearaway would've gone on but what is written is written
