Your First Video Game Console(s)

My first ever video game console and very first game is the GBA SP with Donkey Kong Country. I still have the origional box and manual in perfect condition with the game. :3 After the 3DS launched, the GBA became a collector's item.
My very first home console was the PS2 which is a reason why I like Sony and Nintendo. The PS2 has many great and fun games that bring nostalgia.
My first Nintendo console was the Wii which hooked me to many Nintendo exclusive series. Most Nintendo home console games I've play is through my Wii since it has the Virtual Console and backwards compatibility.

My first handheld video game console was the Gameboy Color.

My first home video game console was the Nintendo 64.

Can't say I'd consider a GBA a collector's item. Everyone & their mom had one.

My family's first was a Sega Genesis. My first of my own was a GBC. All in all, myself or someone in my family has owned the Genesis, GBC, PS1, N64 (short lived), Game Gear, GBA SP, DS, GCN, PS2, XB, XB360, PS3, and the Wii. Oh, and the PSP. So pretty much every major console/handheld besides the NES/SNES (we never owned a SNES but we used to borrow my aunt's from time to time).

I had Sega Genesis, and then the SNES was at GMac's :p And then I had the Play Station with the Genesis, then came the N64 (or maybe a GameBoy Color before) and then the PS2, GBA, and then the Xbox (about a year or 2 after is launched cause of brother wanting), DS I think here, and then the 360 (2 years after launch so I had a damn good PS2 and GBA library here) and then a Wii for whatever Christmas Super Mario Galaxy came out cause my sister demanded the system and I just remember that's what they were packaging it with (or promoting).

What I still have left is the PS2, N64, SNES, and GBA/DS though :p I've been thinking about buying a 360 for myself, but I don't really wanna go through the file transfers for all my old stuff back (assuming I get a hold of the old HDD) but also not looking forward to figure out what I downloaded/bought and reacquire those items as well.

I got both the NES and Playstation for my 3rd birthday in 1997. The games that came with each were SMB3 and Crash Bandicoot. Fun times, fun times. I wish I could have kept my original packaging for these games (because one was a limited edition disc), but my stupid-ass mom decided to sell it without permission. Just glad I got all of the games back from re-buying them on PSN. :p
