This is a mafia game. Never played before? Here's a short tutorial on how to play. It's easy to learn and even more fun to play! ;D
Welcome to Yoshi's Island, a nice, peaceful area inhabited by the Yoshi's, a race of dinosaurs. One day, a baby fell from the sky, and the Yoshi's didn't know what to do with it, until they noticed the baby wanted to go somewhere, so now the Yoshi's are taking turns carrying the baby across the island until it reaches it's destination.
This, however, isn't a story about the Yoshi's heroic quest to save the superstar-to-be of the Mushroom Kingdom. No, this is the story of the brave ShyGuys and the troubles they had to deal with while these events happened.
Things were peaceful for the ShyGuys until the baby fell onto the island. Afterwards, many villages were destroyed by either the Yoshis or (Baby) Bowser's forces as they waged war against each other. While most Shyguys tried to remain neutral, some even decided to side with one to ensure their own safety. The times were dark for all Shyguys alike...
Nearby a village south of monkey lake, the Yoshi's plan to charge in to obtain an item was hidden in there. A Piranha Plant had recently sprouted in the area, sending the place into ruins. Only a few brave Shyguys remain... all fighting for survival. If they could keep their home safe, the Shyguys might have a chance at ending a war which they did not start...
That's the story so far. Roles :
ShyGuys -
- Shy Guy (aka : Townie) - The basic guys of the game. They have no night action, and can only vote during the daytime.
- Metal Shy Guy (aka : Bulletproof Townie) - Just like a regular Shy Guy, but their Metal outlining protects them from a single night kill only once. They can still be killed by getting lynched without the protection from this, however...
- Tribal Guy (aka : Mason) - Like a Shy Guy, they have no night action, and are only allowed to vote during the daytime. However, they are able to communicate to the other Tribal Guy(s) at any time if they want to.
- Spy Guy (aka : Cop) - During the night, they can choose to spy on any character they want, and will be able to tell if they are a Yoshi or not.
- Medi Guy (aka : Doctor) - During the night, they can choose to protect any character from all night-time attacks. They may not protect the same character twice in a row, however.
- Snifit (aka : 1-shot Vigilante) - At one point throughout the game, he may take one shot at an opponent of choice, possibly killing them. He may not take anymore shots afterwards, and is else-wise a basic Shy Guy
- Yoshi (aka : Mafia Goon) - During the night, they choose someone together who they want to kill. They also are able to talk privately to each other at any time.
- White Shy Guy (aka : Godfather) - Just like a Yoshi, although he's the one who confirms the kill for the others. As a Shy Guy, he appears innocent to Spy Guy's tracking him.
- Metal Piranha Plant (aka : Bulletproof Serial Killer) - A lone solder working to destroy everyone in the area, either in order of Bowser, or completely on his own will. Every night, he is allowed to kill one of his choice if they are not protected by something. As he's a not really a Yoshi, he appears innocent to Spy Guy's tracking him. The Metal outlining also protects them from a single night kill only once. They can still be killed by getting lynched without the protection from this, however...
