Yet Another Attempt To Upgrade MPL

Flaming Controller, an attempt to get MPL into more general gaming. A failure.

BUT.

Video Game Lodge. Discussion outside Mario (somewhat) and Mario Party. Success.

I was thinking we would have the MPL website have some sort of "Shrine" page system. For those of you who remembered ol' Nintendo City (Joey's version, not TD's crapfest), Joey had like 3 Shrine pages dedicated strictly to one Mario game (So, for example, one Shrine page would be strictly about Super Mario Bros., in which Joey gave you the walkthrough, character guide, artwork, etc. for that one game). What I was thinking is this...

Spirit's Character Guide in the VGL category Super Smash Bros. brought me back to my ol' guides in the Kingdom Hearts category. Which got me thinking. Why not make a series of shrines dedicated to focusing on that series featured on the website? I don't know if it'll require more bandwidth or anything, but that would be kind of cool. Plus, it would give the site more to offer, other than just strictly Mario Party.

Comment, rant, etc.
 
I was thinking doing stuff of our own too.

Like put up a Kingdom Hearts Shrine since I basically have two-quarters of the game explained by my various guides.
 
No. I don't like this idea.

The site is about Mario Party, and that is and ALWAYS the main focus. If we try to go a differnet direction, it could change the website for the better, but there's also a chance it could worsen it. The site is not even completed yet, so adding other sub-stuff when the main stuff isn't finished doesn't make sense, sorry, it's a no from me.

I'd like to see what SZ or VIP thinks. :p

Aegis promotes an idea. AUTOMATIC OBJECTION!

Except that the Shrines pages will have their own section, and won't even interrupt the site at all.

And do you honestly think many people here still give a crap about Mario Party...besides playing MPI? MP basically dead when Wii Party came out.


 
Just because I have an idea doesn't mean I have to go directly to SZ.

SmashBash has a lot of supporters already, so i'm hoping SZ's smart enough to start that Shrine.

I know this is his site. I'm just saying this will bring in more traffic. Plus, all of it makes sense. We're a big Brawl community, might as well start something.

this is actually a very good idea, i especially like the shrine page ideas
