According to this, and many other websites, a Wii 2/HD is in order. It has been proven by Nintendo of Japan that it's true, and that they are doing this mainly due to the stalled Wii sales. It will support full HD 1080p resolutions, a blu-ray drive, and much more. Though a couple of day's after that, Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils Aime says that THEY don't have any plans what-so-ever on a Wii 2/HD. OK, now I don't believe this. Mainly because NoA DOESN'T create ANY new consoles. Every new console made is made in Nintendo of Japan. So they are right that NoA doesn't have plans, but Nintendo of Japan does, and expected release will be around 3rd QTR 2010. NOTE: It is not 100% proven.
