Why I don't like CoD

Wow, that's a long discussion, I heard plenty of drooling over CoD in my game design class, as well as WoW, Gears, Halo, and plenty others, some people play the games too much, some play every now and then, the games themselves are fine for what they are, I just wish that they would at least make each game more different than each other.

But it seems like Toblet has never played CoD before and here he is bashing it solely based on the fanbase. Hell, I read the first book of Twilight, and behold, I hated it, but that was because I READ THE BOOK. Your argument is invalid unless you have actually played at least 2 CoD installments. Until then, it's just annoying fantard rage.

Don't judge a book by it's cover.

EXACTLY. This is why I hate coming on forums and seeing people bash a series when they haven't even experienced it yet. Those people are even more annoying then the crazed fanbase that product has generated, since their ignorance clearly shines through.

OK, yeah, I have all the CoD games because my Dad enjoys playing them, and I enjoy playing with either friends or single player, but it definitely is a game that you have to judge for yourself as you play it, because true most of the fans are annoying, but you would still need to play it for yourself, because there are actually some good things in the game.

I have watched plenty of videos on it and there are many games I have experienced that are just like CoD. I don't need to play it and I'm not bashing the game it's self. I personally think it would be a great to play had it not ruined so many people's lives. I have witnessed it and although it may not have happened in your school, it definitely happened it mine. I have seen people in my class who are very intelligent people, pick up CoD and in a few months, they begin to abandon their studies and start verbally abusing the teachers. My point is, the more you're addicted to CoD, the more likely you are to have poor grades. That doesn't necessarily mean you will have poor grades if you play CoD, but it's certainly a contributing factor.

I would if I could afford it. Anyway, watching videos is just as good imo.

How do you know if you've never played it?

There are many shooting games just like it. It is "unoriginal" after-all, as stated by many of you. :p

Watching videos is enough to know that it's not very original. I'm not saying it's not good, but you can still get the same atmosphere playing some other shooter games.

Dude, please play it.

Dude, all that talk about how CoD apparently ruins people's lives and makes them have terrible grades is just you being a fantard trying to make people turn away from it. Video games are not the problem. It's the people who play them who have the problem. I have around 2000+ hours combined on many Final Fantasy games and yet I am a Honors Student and I have a great social life. Oh, but wait, it's not CoD is it? Apparently only CoD rots the brain and makes a downward spiral to your life. Grow up, man. If you haven't even played the damn games yet (and are relying on YouTube vids which is stupid considering you aren't playing the game and just watching some idiot play) then you and your arguments are completely void. Come back to me when you actually have a valid argument.

This isn't a troll fest. Trolling is when someone intentionally starts shit with someone trying to be funny but keeping a serious tone at the same time. I'm merely telling Toblet that his opinions are idiotic because he hasn't played any CoD games. I really want him to come up with a quirky response or at least play one of the games.

It just seems to be a whole two sides thing.

If he isn't gonna play the games, then fine, but he doesn't have the right to criticize something without playing it first.
