I have, yeah. A friend of mine has a laptop with it installed and I was using it for a day.

I had a similar experience, though it was my brother's laptop. I used it for a few days, but just didn't like it at all. It's more suited for a tablet/smartphone/touch-screen device, not for mouse and keyboard. That's the big downside, along with the drastic changes. I liked having a start button with a start menu and not a damn start screen with all the damn tiles. Again, it's perfect for touch-screen devices, not desktops. I wish they gave us an option for the 7-style OS and not this touchy crap, but it's M$ we're talking about. :p

By the way, the PC I got was the ASUS G10AC US-002S. It seems like a perfect PC for me to start with.

 
I'm sure there was an option in W8 to revert to the classic desktop form, but you still have to go through the Metro layout to get there. Meh I'm not thinking of changing computers any time soon. :p

In other news, one of the patients I went to see two days ago just happened to be an old patient of the professor who takes afternoon tutes, so we had a very interesting case about Wilson's disease and liver transplant. Patient came in for the flu btw. :p
 
I got the computer on Friday and I've been installing all my programs and games from Steam and Origin. It's fast and very reliable so far. I'm still getting use to the whole W8 UI, but after tinkering with it, I know how to get to the desktop, control panel, and device manager, which is enough for me. As long as I know how to access those things, I don't need to downgrade to W7. It'd also put me down $270. I still hate the Metro UI though. :p Can't wait for the W8.1 update later next month.

Overall, I love this computer! ;D

I do this to get my sleep schedule back in check. Get barely any sleep, then you'll want to get back to bed asap. No naps, that makes it pointless.
