Super Smash Bros Brawl Disc Problems

My Wii wouldn't read my SSBB disc, so I bought it again, and its still not reading that disc.
Has anyone else witnessed this, and what can I do to solve this and play the game again?

If you Wii is from launch (November 2006-January 2007), they had problems with reading Brawl because it's a dual layered disc.

My suggestion: Get a can of compressed air (computer cleaner) and unplug it from everything, spray air into EVERY vent/opening and let it sit for about 30 minutes.

I used to use that stuff to keep my Gamecube alive and it worked for half a year but then it died.

I don't think it's the disc, I think it's your Wii. I believe that the Wii Lens Cleaner should fix it. That happened to me too last year, and the Wii Lens Cleaner fixed it.

It costs 10 bucks on the Nintendo Store online so you might as well get that if you don't have one of those compressed air thingys Snowy mentioned.

I agree. I've just read up about it and apparently its not that rare. I've ordered a lens cleaner for about £5 so hopefully that'll work.

A friend of mine experienced this problem before, and I was worried that I'd get the same thing, but luckily I got the Wii from February 2007. That "friend of mine" is a member here, too.

Probably only your Wii. Same thing happened to me except it was Mario Party 8 instead.

Well I got my Wii back in the day and I've never had any problems with Brawl. Then again when's the last time I touched that thing? I only played it once I think. Waste of 35 bucks.

Just got the disc cleaner and used it. It worked an absolute treat, I've been Brawling all day. Cheers everyone.

I've had disc problems with my older games, but the discs are probally worn-out...

I sold my Super Smash Bros. Brawl because it wouldn't work in my Nintendo Wii. But then I got my cousins Brawl game and it still had problems, but I kept putting the disc back in and out of the Nintendo Wii(is that a good idea?) and eventually(whenever it happens, it could take like 1 try or more than 10 to get it to work) it started up in my Nintendo Wii. I still do this in order to get Brawl to work. It's a bitch to just hear that click noise in the Nintendo Wii so I can start playing the Goddamn game.  >_>
