Rumor: Mario Golf: World Tour to be released in NA on August 25 CONFRIMED: FALSE

[Jimmy T.]

May 8, 2013 - Gamefly.com claims that Mario Golf: World Tour could be released on August 25 in North America. It turned out to be false after THIS was posted:

That is a Sunday, so it has some legitimacy. I imagine that's probably right, Wii Sports Resort was released in late August as well.

Shouldn't this topic be merged?

Anyways, they should release it according to popular belief, just like other sports games.

Shouldn't this topic be merged?

It doesn't. I have posted it on the Nintendo board and then it was moved to the 3DS board for some reason. It is just a rumor to keep you guys informed, so it doesn't have to be merged.

Shouldn't this topic be merged?

Shouldn't, since it refers to a rumour about the game.

Still, the release date sounds too late for me to try, since that's practically at the end of summer, and for some reason, I prefer this kind of sport only during the beginning of it (Both in real life and slightly in games).

Mario Super Sluggers was released on August 25th as well.

August 25th is also my birthday

Well let's hope it will come true then!

Best birthday present ever if Toadette appeared in World Tour xD

Best birthday present ever if Toadette appeared in World Tour xD

And this is her 5th anniversary of being absent from the Mario series on that day too!

If she ever returns later this year or this, I will scream.  :-X

There's a high chance for her to return: It's her 10th anniversary of her first appearance in Mario Kart: Double Dash on November 2003.

[Super Mario Party]

Doesn't affect me because I wont be getting the game until December, but the sooner it's out, that would be good.

GameFly was right with Mario Tennis Open and almost on the money with Game & Wario (just a week off, I believe).

The Toadette thing would be pretty interesting. I thought Super Sluggers was a fun game.

Was more expecting a September release for World Tour (Dream Team comes out July in Europe and August in US, but nothing major has been announced for the 3DS in September yet). I guess it's no big deal if XY come out in early October. The 3DS could definitely go one month without a major release in any region.

Facepalm. The game has been delayed to 2014 because Nintendo is very busy with the Wii U. This rumor is 100% false. Topic locked.
