PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale

Sony's attempt at making a Smash Bros game. In the past week or so Sony registered the domain http://playstationallstarsbattleroyale.com/ and a shorter one http://playstationallstars.com/ and many of you that have a PS3 or a PS account may remember the survey that Sony held as a little tip that the game was in creation. It would seem at that time the game still didn't have a set name yet. During the survey it asked people what they thought of the name so PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale still could not be the set real name. This is the first strong evidence of this game since its rumor long ago. The rumors consisted of everything from Fat Princess to Kratos.

The rumored roster:

Sweet Tooth (Twisted Metal)
Kratos (God of War)
Parappa the Rappa
Sly Cooper
Nathan Drake (Unchartered)
Colonel Mael Radec (Killzone)
Fat Princess.

I don't know who Colonel Mael Radec is and can't see how Fat Princess is going to be a capable fighter but these are just rumors. Won't Sweet Tooth scare the crap out of children interested in the game?

Sony has such a vast array of very different gaming personalities that it would make one dysfunctional cast. I mean, with Nintendo, everybody has a fantasy-like element to them but with Sony you also have a realist movement that also mixes in with other GOOFY oddballs.

I don't think this game will do well. They seem to be using characters that either people don't know or had to much of. They also said it was going to be like the Smash Bros games. Why would you tell people your making a bad ripoff of another more popular game?

Tons of people know all of these characters. And I guess if they did state it was going to be like something else, only to try and get people to imagine the outcome of what it'll be.

Colonel Mael Radec  and Sweet Tooth.

But what I mean is Parappa would be unknown to most of the newer gamers and if you have never played Fat Princess or Killzone or something you would have no idea who certain characters where.

Maybe Sony wants these characters to be popular. Remember Ness and Captain Falcon in the first Smash Bros? Ice Climbers in Melee? Pit in Brawl? These characters never became popular until they were put in Smash Bros.

Considering some of the characters are from rated M games, I doubt they're going to start racing.

I got a chance to play the game this week. I have to say, I had just as much fun playing All Stars as I do when I play Smash Bros. Game is great, but things like not being able to run and grab ledges are a bit of the problem.

Come on you can only ko other players with speical attacks and they have crosplay with each other I wander were they got they idea form.Still it looks like a good game if you have a ps3 or vita and need a fighting game this is your game.
