We have seen so little and so many people have already made their judgements. It's kinda sad.

This game still looks like a piece of s***, and what is that "Goal" thing, let me guess, another s***ty element added to the game.
Good grief. I'd really like to hear why you think it's so bad.
It's because when they first announced it, it looked like a good game. They had a Chain Chomp partner next to Mario which I thought  looked awesome, they did have those stickers in the first few screen shots, they looked okay. Now it seems they have completely ditched partners for stickers and the gameplay looks boring to me. When I first saw this game 2 years ago, it looked awesome and it was the only reason I bought a 3DS, now it looks like a pile of trash.

So what exactly have you come to terms with? Where do see the gaming industry heading?

What have I come to terms with... Well, for me this is more of my own personal experience. And it is that I don't enjoy the newer video games like I once did back in the day. I don't wish to put it as the reason, but it could have been my childhood that just engulfed myself a lot into the games I grew up with(which may be true for some, then again many; dependent on person).

And as time went on, I just didn't find satisfaction in games of today. My experience with the Nintendo Wii as an example really diminished my view on the current generation of gaming. When I compare Gamecube games and then Nintendo Wii games...I just find a big difference in enjoyability for me in the GC days(6th Generation of Gaming). I would talk about other gaming companies, but I don't think I have had a good enough touch on them to make an absolute decision...

As for where I see the gaming industry headed...is pretty much iOS games on the rise. Meaning I think in the coming years, games will be focused in playing on a tablet device of some sort for gaming experience. I'm not one for touch screen controls, and I'm sure many would agree... Games are supposed to be played using a controller I believe...it just feels more real to me... Using your finger to input actions in a game just ruins gameplay in my opinion... However, I do think strategy games could have an advantage toward touchscreen and driving games with gyro(as what has been presented already with Fire Emblem on DS and Mario Kart 7, respectively). I also see digital products having a great step into the 8th Generation. Whilst people do prefer having an actual physical copy, I fear we may soon replace that...(not too soon, but like...3-5 years from now to my estimation).

I really don't wish to say anything more about this... I just want to give the basics of what I believe.

All in all, the presentations video gaming companies are trying to pull in this coming generation...just does not fit my boat that well.

And for each and everyone, there is some point in time where one must stop doing what they once loved doing for many years...
This all... just makes sense.
Games today are just aren't like they use to be. Either you can take that in a good way, or a bad way.

Of course - yes, games from people's childhoods tend to be remembered as something more enjoyable when you grow older.
...and I forgot what point I was trying to get at... :p

For this game though, I may not like it's design very much, though turn-base battling is back...
It never hurts to try it, right?

And we'll always be able to return to those games that we loved before if we end up hating this style.

Got my "What's New?" for Paper Mario done. Check it out!

What's New in Paper Mario: Sticker Star?
Great article, SZ, definitely worth the read. =)

It was very interesting and I loved all the pics you had. I mentioned Chain Chomp in the Site board and I don't know if it's any use in this article since they are a year or two older. The "What's New?", "What's Old?" sections were a nice touch in this article. There has been so many changes during the development, so it helps clear things up.

But yeah, very well done!

http://gonintendo.com/ More info here
-earn blocking and atacking bonuses based on timed button pushe
-select stickers to attack
-features a world map
-vist Decalburg to buy stickers and turn objects into stickers
-no partners  this time
-at the windmill, you must find a way to move the blades in order to access the front door

So it looks like the town is Decalburg and not Toad Town and there are no partners like everyone was thinking.

So what do you guys think of the story so far?

On the day of the annual Sticker Fest, Bowser decides to pull a prank and scatters six Royal Stickers across the land. To retrieve these mysterious, magical stickers, which are now stuck onto Bowser and his underlings, Mario sets off on an adventure with Kersti, a sticker fairy, visiting prairies, deserts, forests, snowy mountains and volcanoes around the world.

PAX Prime 2012 - Paper Mario Sticker Star High Quality Footage!
In the video at 4:52, the Nintendo rep describes the story:

"So the story goes that there's a festival every year when the Sticker Comet comes and this year Bowser decided to show up and he touched it and the whole thing exploded and just littered the whole place with stickers"
