I don't see why anybody fines it strange that a Chain Chomp could possibly be Mario's partner. I mean, a Cheep-Cheep was once his partner, for god's sakes. =P

Anyways, noticing the screenshots and all, this will most definitely have most of the classic PM formula intact.

Finally another Paper Mario with it's origional RPG roots! It looks like some enemies fly off screen, objects will pop out like a storybook, and the graphics will be better than past Paper Marios. Every day will kill me until this game gets rreleased. =P

It only took one game for Nintendo to see how fans of Paper Mario loved it's RPG-style in the previous games and I am happy to see it return.

So we expect a storyline for every announced game? I'm sure the Kirby GCN trailers never had them...

As to the purport of your post, that may be something to consider.  But it's kinda silly of Nintendo/Intelligent Systems to forsake the quality of storylines, b.c. the fans don't appreciate it...

Let's see what we can think of.
1.Peach is kidnapped.
2.Mario loses an early fight with main boss.
3.Mario must collect a group of 7 somethings (i.e. Star Spirits, Crystal Stars, Pure Hearts)
