Nintendo's Mystery Game

"A journalist for popular online gaming site IGN has stated that a new unannounced title in development for the Nintendo Wii will literally blow you away once it’s been revealed.

    An apparent IGN employee has been claiming he knows what the new Nintendo game is that is to be announced soon. Going by the name GodIsSatan on the IGN Boards he states that it is not a new Mario game referred to by Charles Martinet. This new game is rumored to be from an established franchise and not a new IP.

    When he heard of the game it”shocked the hell” out of him and that the title certainly wasn’t expected. “Trust me at this point when I say there won’t be too many people out there who will be blown away when this one gets revealed. There is one interesting aspect to the title that hasn’t been fully revealed yet. The ultimate quality of this title may hinge on how well this aspect is executed.”

A title that will "blow us away"? I love mario party and I hoped it was Mario Party 9 but it's not Mario Party 9..they wouldnt classify that as a game that will "blow us away"

I think it would. Because many people think the series has died or gone. If I thought that I would be shocked if it ever came back.

I guess you have a point. I mean, so many people have illogically stated that Mario Party is done because the series just continued to go downhill and MP8 just flatout sucked. Although, Mario Party 8 and Mario Party DS (the 2 most recent mario parties) are also the franchises best selling games, and that's a fact. I've seen the numbers.

I guess it also could be a shocker because you'd generally hear about the following Mario Party game several months after the one before it was released. I mean, Mario Party 8 came out MAY 9,2007! That's nearly 3 years ago. And we haven't heard a peep about the next game but the sales would indicate that the franchise is making more and more money.

I do feel though that it could be like a Paper Mario game or whatnot but I just hope it's Mario Party 9 and I hope they gave us a REASON to wait so long to even hear some information on it. I mean, when they finally release info on the game, it would still take another few-several months before the game is released, right? Meaning, if the game were announced at the beginning of 2010, the game would come out around the end of 2010, right? That's OVER 3 years since Mario Party 8 was released. I just hope if the game is coming out, that this wait was worth it. People said this about MPDS, but considering how long we've been waiting for this game and how long this idea has been floating around and how long it's taken to even announce the future release of this game, WiFi should almost be a GIVEN for this game.

I totally agree.

Hopefully they'll announce it at E3 2010.
 
It's still unknown. There hasn't been much information at all ever since.the message Nintendo asked Martinet to erase. Well, maybe we should wait a bit, because Nintendo did say that they were up to something along the lines of that, but didn't have anything to announce yet.
