I would be incredibly disappointed if they made a game like Sonic Runners.
Runners is nothing like the Sonic series, requires Internet to play no matter what, and is so repetitive.

I just don't think Nintendo's ready to put something like NSMBU on mobile. Pokemon Go is a good start, but freemium games of IPs with similar games on Wii U and 3DS doesn't seem right to me.

I've played Sonic 1, 2, 4 (Episodes 1, 2 and Metal) and Runners.
I can confidently say Runners is not like the true Sonic games.
