Next Nintendo Handheld will have better than Gamecube, graphics?!?!

I heard of it in the same day that it shows on the website, and I thought someone posted something on this, but I guess I would do the honor to do so.

It seems so soon. Much too soon, because the Nintendo DSi doesn't even have a year yet. (well, here in North America it doesn't). Rumor has it, that the next Nintendo Handheld will run with an Nvidia Tegra Chip, the model being Tegra APX 2500. Here are some specs on this chip if you don't know any:

Processor: ARM 11 clocked @ 600mhz MPCore! (Better graphics than Gamecube? Awwssume!)
Memory: NAND flash, Mobile DDR or NOR
Graphics Processor: LCD resolutions up to 1280x1050(HD)
Video Codecs: Up to 720p H.264 & VC-1 Decoding
Includes GeForce ULV support for OpenGL ES 2.0, Direct3D Mobile, and programmable shaders
Output: HDMI, VGA, composite, S-Video, Stereo Jack, USB

If this is true, then it will have:
A. Better graphics than the Gamecube
B. If included camera, up to 12mpxl support
C. Battery life would over-last any handheld system.

Though, I have yet to prove this by asking Nintendo if it's true. But on websites all over the net, it say's that it is.

Hmm very Interesting. We'll have to see what it'll do as time passes. Wonder how long the Battery will be.

With most devices that run with a Tegra APX 2500, they last from 36-48 hours once fully charged. Which takes about 4-8 hours for full charge.(the different the device is. the longer it will take to fully charge.)

It's far too early for nintendo to do something so rash. Even if we hear about this tomorrow, It would still take around 1 and 1/2 to 3 years to come out.

I got the reply back. They said that they will first see if the price is acceptable for these chips. And, he also mentioned that the Nintendo of Japan were going to begin a large project that could be announced at 2010 Fall conference. I hope it's true.

I do too but we'll still have to just wait and see, right?

Advanced High-Definition graphics is a very good addition for the graphics in NDS.
But somehow, I think it will ruin the usual classic NDS graphic, which is already good IMO.

My god the DSI just came out. Why are they releasing a new one already? I wonder if they'll still make DSI only games..

I did, but you know how Nintendo is,

"I myself, am not allowed to send out any classified information about any new unannounced game to the public."

Well, they'll say something like that.

That sounds amazing that a new chip will change the DS and make it better.

I think the console is the DSi XL. The only purpose is for people who have trouble reading small screens can see better. It's going to be bigger than the regular DSi. I think it's coming out in the beginning of 2010.

Actually, no it isn't. The DSi XL just has larger screens. Everything else is technologically the same. The same 133mhz still applies.
