New Nintendo 3DS/XL

Here's a look at the Hyrule Edition New Nintendo 3DS XL.

Unfortunately, this edition has already sold out of pre-orders from GameStop. No word for restocks. It'll have to be from a reseller if you want one.

Too bad they are already sold out. I love the Legend of Zelda and I just love how much detail went into that Hylian Crest, it even has the 3 Goddess' symbols etched on the Triforce, so beautiful. I'd choose this or the Majora's Mask New 3DS if I ever want to upgrade to one but for now I'm still satisfied with regular Zelda 3DS XL. Unfortunately getting that Hyrule one or the Majora's Mask New 3DS would likely cost too much if I end up wanting to upgrade now. It's crazy how fast these sell out.

Might get the XL tomorrow at Gamestop.

Have like 250 left after my shopping spree last week. Might pick up a game to go with it too.

Okay, sorry for double posting. But, hey, topic's dead.

Anyway, I just got a New 3DS XL last Sunday after seeing one in display on Target. And let me say the screen is frigging amazing. And, yes, it has bigger pixels, but it's not as noticeable. I got so tired of not being able to see any details whatsoever in Smash that I stopped playing 4 player Smash (usually 2, sometimes 3). With the big screen Smash is almost an entirely new game. SO MUCH BETTER.

Plus it's cheaper than the regular size (200$ versus, what, 220?) and apparently has a longer battery life? My one complaint (okay, well, I guess I have several?) is that Nintendo really seems to be going cheap-o now. It didn't come with it's own charger (though I guess that's fine since I don't use my old 3DS much anymore), it feels plastic-y, and the light-up 3D icon from the 3DS is gone, which is annoying when I want to see cutscenes in Pokemon Y in 3D but don't realize it's possible to see in 3D. The most annoying thing by far is that the touch pen is this un-extendable plastic thing which feels really small compared to my extendable metal one. Another problem I've noticed is a few times it's said my game card has been removed, which is a problem I've never had with the old 3DS.

So, a bunch of annoying small problems (and Nintendo seems to have really cheapened up), but the Big screen and Stable 3D are frigging amazing. Smash feels like an entirely new game now. Will probably get Xenoblade Chronicles in a week or two. Depends on how much other stuff I have to buy.

Maybe I could find a used new 3ds online to replace my broken 3DS. I'm not sure if I want to get AC:HHD though.
Yeah, I wanna just get the system alone. Hopefully when it releases, someone puts it on sale on Ebay without the game and only the system at a cheaper price. Probs won't happen though.
The game is downloaded onto the system, so if you want your nnid and games on the system, you'll have to get rid of HHD anyway. Also, Is anyone here interested in a broken 3DS?

wow a broken 3ds has so many uses! you can use it as a paper weight.

you could probably use it for parts or something

Man, one thing that's annoying with Stable 3D is if it's pitch dark it bugs out. And sometimes doesn't work that well when I'm lying on my back. Wish there was a switch for toggling it.

Helpful most of the time though.
