I'm going to ask a question and it's up to one of the families to give me the top whatever answers that best applies to the question. These are general questions so try to be creative but lineant.
So, who goes first? Well, first off, I need to pick the first members of each family to come up and try to answer the question. If one replies first with the #1 answer, that person can determine if that family wants to take on the question. If they don't get the #1 answer, then the other family can still go first if they give me a higher valued answer. Makes sense? I sure hope so.
A family wins when they reach 500 points. If a family gets 3 strikes on a question, the other family has 1 chance to make a correct answer and steal the families points for that question only. I'll explain the bonus round once we get the main game out of the way.
