I think Shy Guy is awesome and will definitely play as him a couple of times.
They still both seem better off as shop owners, and such...

I agree. Also willing to give Koopa Troopa a try, too.

And Pauline is extremely doubtful. She doesn't really fit in other games whatsoever other than Mario VS. Donkey Kong.

Yup, and cousins to Mario/Luigi.

Also.. for the person who said it's coming down to Toadette/DK or whatever, I really don't see DK getting in. But who knows? We haven't really seen any DK spaces/Signs of a DK board yet, not to mention DK himself..

I'm still hoping for Boo. :)
 
as I keep saying, the last character HAS TO BE Toad's partner. It's too obvious.

Peach/Daisy
Yoshi/Birdo
Koopa/ShyGuy
Toad/???

It be pretty weird just to not give Toad a partner, so I'm thinking it's someone like Boo/Toadette.

You never know every Koopa generally looks the same. The koopa in mp9 could be any koopa you want it to be rely same with Shy. If you think its the one from Mario Kart then it is if you want it to be a girl... why not? Unless they use "he" In story mode but in normal gameplay it could be anything your mind imagines.


Also I don't think they are doing the whole partner thing in this one. I would like it if Kamek or Magi Koopa was the last character. Rosalina would be nice to but shes kinda tall. I don't know I think they are keeping it a secret becuase its some crazy character no one would have thought of.

Toad and Boo actually do go together in a way; They were both hosts on MP1 (Toad, Koopa, and Boo were all on the board doing stuff), same for MP2/MP3, even on MP4 where they were hosts with the other Party 5. Sure they are not the most ideal, but they still have connections to the point I would not doubt if they were partners.

This is exactly what I've been thinking. Just because Nintendo has done something like this in a previous game, doesn't necessarily mean it'll happen here.  :-\

Without Dry Bones I'll be playing only Shy Guy.
 
I think that the 12th character for Mario Party 9 is Toadette:

"Toadette will be last playable character for Mario Party 9 because, everyone has a pair (as well as Yoshi and Birdo, Koopa Troopa and Shy Guy, etc.) except for Toad. Toadette will the perfect fit for the game as they were friends in Mario Kart Double Dash and Mario Party 7. There are no words to describe this. She has not been seen since Mario Super Sluggers back on August 2008 and this could be her chance to return."

And according to this website's poll, most people (33%) voted for her so far.
