Well, as expected, it's exclusive to Japan. This is another Arcade Mario Kart that we'll never be able to try out unless you visit Japan. When I first saw that screen of Mario with his Super Glider, they are really taking the elements of Mario Kart 7. I wonder if these elements will carry on to Mario Kart Wii U. It's great to see that another arcade installment is coming to Japan, even if we can't play it at all. I hope to see video footage.

In that case i need a plane.
But seriously that's a bummer.  :-\
However anything can change, so I might be expecting to play it soon....then again it has a bunch of Japanese elements.

Now it's coming to the arcades in the United States.

- will hit western arcades winter 2013
- features ten courses
- playable racers include: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Yoshi, Bowser, Wario, Waluigi, Bowser Jr., Donkey Kong, Pac-Man and Don from the Taiko no Tatsujin series
- Grand Prix and Battle modes are included
- two new modes called Alter-Ego and Team
- Alter-Ego mode allows gamers to race against other players ghosts
- Team mode pits two players up against two AI opponents
- includes gliders and underwater racing
- game will debut at the IAAPA 2013 trade show in Orlando, FL

Anyone going to give this a try while in Florida? Still doubt I'll have the chance to try, though. Not many people play on the arcades anymore, unlike the 1990s. It's good to see this coming to the West, though.

What do you mean for once? The past Mario Kart Arcade GP games have came west. I've played the second one once. (Although not for that long).

I never had the knowledge that the previous installments came to the west.

Arcade releases don't mean anything in NA. Port it to the Wii U.

I do remember looking up some emulator for the first Wii that let you play the first two arcade games on your wii, I tried to do it but it was too freaking complicated and I quit.

Yeah its all built on the Triforce engine which is practically a gamecube. Same engine that F-Zero AX used.
