So now we have two tracks that only have 1 lap...interesting. But they're awfully long, though. I guess that makes it up.

I cannot wait for SNES Rainbow Road. Looks so simple, yet so good. It's quite the contrast when you compare it to the new Rainbow Road that is filled with crazy twists and turns throughout the whole track.

Yeah, same here. I never tried out SNES Rainbow Road, but now I can finally try it out...

SNES courses were pretty simple but threw you off with TERRAIN.

Looking forward to this, hopefully Lucky 7 and Spiny Shell aren't *too* OP and crazy...

I heard you can get the Lucky 7 no matter what place you are in.  First place with star and protective shield.. But the chances are supposed to be really small so..

And I'm still holding out and saying there will be more than 16 (17) playable characters in the game. Just watch..

The items in Lucky 7 were Mushroom, Green Shell, Red Shell, Banana, Star, Blooper and what other item...?

And a bob-omb. What I meant by shield is having all seven items circling you and you are kind of protected from any shells (not blue) and other drivers. So no shield item.

I actually wonder, what if someone else touches an item that were circling you after using the Lucky 7 item, and they get whatever effect the player touches before you get the chance to use it? Boy, Bob-omb for explosion on both of you or that player getting the Star would not be good.

That's probably what happens. I remember watching a video where someone hit a shell from a player using that Lucky 7 and they received the effects. Though, I wonder how the order in which the items are used is decided?

One thing about this game is disliked from me: no signs of a Single Player VS Mode. Though no one has directly said "There is NO Single Player VS Mode", there's really nobody who has mentioned it at all. The only VS Mode mentioned so far is the Multiplayer. Sure there's VS Mode on WiFi, but I doubt everyone would constantly be playing WiFi over and over again, and constantly going over Grand Prix after unlocking everything would get annoying if you want to race a specific course. It'll be nice to have that option there.

Yeah, that sucks. I guess we won't be unlocking content by the number of races played criteria, unlike Mario Kart Wii.

Not sure if it was because of the person playing the game but it looks like a single shell/banana can pretty knock you off the courses, kinda like Mario Kart Wii which frightens me.

And just wanted to ask if anyone notices something... different about that shy guy?? (Right at the beginning)
He's blue! Could this mean maybe certain characters get different colors/clothes available to them?

But then again, isn't metal mario his own character?
