PROLOGUE
The Mushroom Kingdom was in peace after Bowser's latest defeat. However, one day, a portal appeared out of nowhere with four Toads emerging out of it. They resembled Toad, Toadette, Skye, and Saffron.
Toadette?: Greetings, Mushroom Kingdom civilians. We hail from Dimension X. Your princess would a powerful vessel for our ultimate project to conquer all dimensions and rule with unopposed power!
The Toads from Dimension X proceeded to kidnap Peach and threw her in the portal, where a creature's hands snatched her and dragged her in. Just then, Toadette confronted the Toads.
Toadette: Not if I could help it!
Toadette, hearing that Dimension X was ruled by a tyrannical king and that a rebellion was organized to overthrow him, entered the portal to Dimension X to defeat the king.
X-Toadette: She will lose.
X-Toadette's hands started to glow black, and she cast a spell over the other three X-Toads and Toad, Toadbert, Skye, Saffron, Yvan, Wolley, Emile, and Viola. The spell made the affected look exactly the same as other Toads affected.
X-Toadette: Now our first step to world domination is complete! Soon the strongest forces of the Mushrom Kingdom will kill themselves, leaving the kingdom absolutely defenseless. Then the Mushroom Kingdom will belong to Dimension X. Hahahahaha!
The X-Toads approached the Toad Brigade, who were indistinguishable.
X-Toadette: You now look exactly the same. Soon you'll find yourselves betraying each other. Then we will take control unopposed.
Toad: You wait until Toadette returns with the princess. She will defeat your tyrannical ruler!
X-Toadette: She'll never be able to get out alive. X-Toads, let's move!
Will Toad and his friends be able to stop the X-Toads from taking over the Mushroom Kingdom? Will the X-Toads continue their process of dimension domination? Will Toadette return alive?
