Well I got two different answers from two groups of people, so at least one of you is wrong.
WAHA and Boo21 are right, 40 coins allows you to avoid offering a Star in duels, but that's in Mario Party SIX. In Mario Party FIVE that price is ten coins higher, so H-J and Yoshi8984 are correct.

Welcome to Billy12510's Modern-Day Pyramid Scheme! The rules are somewhat complex so let me explain. There are 4 tiers to this pyramid. The lowest one with four categories, the one above that with 3, the one above that with 2, and the top with 1. To get higher up the pyramid you need to answer questions correctly. You may pick the category you wish, except the top one, which is a random category.
Scoring goes as follows.
Lowest Tier-1 point
Lower Tier-2 points
Middle Tier-3 points
Top of the Pyramid-4 points
You can stop anytime you want to on the pyramid, because if you get one wrong, you won't score any points for the entire round. If you stop, you get all the points you banked up to that point. I'll take you guys up the pyramid one at a time, starting with Boo21 since he's in last, then WAHA, then Yoshi8984, then H-J. So Boo21 gets to pick a category first. No one else may answer his question(s). And if anyone not playing wants to take part in the Fan Mail Round can PM me thier questions and answers now if they feel like.
