I hate to burst everyone's bubble but KH3 won't be coming out as soon as most of us thought it would...

Here is an atricle from Game Informer about KH3.

In celebration of a decade of Kingdom Hearts, creator Tetsuya Nomura delights in antagonizing his fanbase and destroying their hopes for a true home console sequel to Kingdom Hearts II.

In Nomura's recent interview with Japanese publication Dengeki PlayStation, Andria Sang translated the following quote:

"2012 is the 10th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts, so we'd like to do something to celebrate. However, I'll say this up front, just because it's the 10th anniversary, we still won't have KH 3 out (laughs)."

If you're wondering what is on the horizon for the Kingdom Hearts franchise, here's what we know. Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded is coming out in Japan on DS in early October this year. Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep Final Mix is next in Japan (includes all the bonuses from the U.S. version plus a few more). Then it's Kingdom Hearts 3D for the 3DS sometime in the future. No one knows when Re:Coded is hitting North America, but it's probably safe to assume spring 2011. Final Mix will never come here. And 3D sounds like it's a long way off even in Japan.

Oh well, you can always keep trying to earn that secret movie in Birth by Sleep, right?

They should just make a Kingdom Hearts 3 and stop with all the spin-offs. I don't play the games...but I just find it stupid that the company won't just release a Kingdom Hearts 3.

Also, lol at the quote being said.

Least the majority of Kingdom Hearts games get released in North America...unlike a CERTAIN JRPG series I know.
 
I don't even care anymore. The series is basically butchered unless 3DS can prove otherwise.
 
5 years, or 15 fifteen years, I am up for the wait. I am quite sure I'll be entertained with the series in the meantime and / or some other games.

The ability to customise the way your partners use the items you've given would be nice, it sucks when Donald and Goofy end up healing themselves with Elixirs for them dying every two seconds at Cavern of Remembrance instead of healing my health / magic points whenever needed.
 
I've beaten them all, and gotten all of the secret endings. Even Blank Points on BBS. I played it on Proud mode or whatever the hardest mode is these days, and got it. It's pretty amazing. Also, Re: Coded is planned to come out January 1st, 2011, or so I've heard. The secret ending for Coded in Japan has some serious spoilers for KH 3, too.

Basically, it starts out Mickey is talking to Yen Sid. Xehanort from BBS is back, and they aren't entirely ready to fight him. Yen Sid then tells Mickey to gather up Sora and Riku to take the mark of mastery exam. Also, if you guys don't know, here is what the note at the end of KH 2 said:

I wanted to tell you immediately.
There are memories asleep inside you.
Those memory fragments connect to the future.
Sora, Riku, Kairi,
the truth surrounding the Keyblade,
passes through numerous connections,
which are inside your hearts.
Sora,
it all leads to you, and everyone is waiting for you.
The only one who can heal their sadness is you.
It's possible that the travels up until now,
compared to the next trip, may have been easy.
Everything thought to be accidental was really connected,
and the door to a new departure already seems to be opening.
